        June 3, 2008 was the first time I went to the Scotland County Livestock auction in Memphis, Mo. The manager, the barn staff, the community were the friendliest people I have encountered at an auction for many years. I'm just a hobby farmer, but had the opportunity to enjoy myself for a day and even bought a couple calves to eat my grass. Even though it was 31/2 hours from my home, I will definitely go back just because of the people.
