I have never in my life seen a management company so messed up. They do not care about anything except money. The owner Buz and his lover Trish make a great team, they NEVER so anything to help the tenant then when you are ONLY 11 days late on your rent they send you into eviction, they let that linger in the court system for 9 months so they do not have to fix anything in the home cause you can't contact them, yep the way to make easy money. And to top it all off they send a notice they your lease is not getting renewed and that you have 15 days to get out and they are keeping your security. They have no heart they are putting a family of 5 in the street if they are not out in 15 day with NO WARNING. Karma will catch up with these 2 lovers and I pray it happens soon. I moved out of my place that I rented through Nexus almost 2 months ago. From the moment that my landlord switched to their company, I have had nothing but issues. There are many things that they get away with that are ILLEGAL! For example, when my landlord decided to sell the house they would have realtors from all over town show up to look at the place without giving me any notice. At one point a realtor from a different company pushed open my door and forced themselves into my space after I had told them I could not let them in. I called and emailed Nexus numerous times but they never once tried to fix the issue and even they themselves showed up unannounced to my place. Now, after two months of my calling and emailing, they have just let me know that I won't receive my security deposit back. They did this without sending me any sort of documentation of what the deposit was used for. According to the Florida state laws on rentals that is ILLEGAL. When requesting that documentation, I was treated so rudely by the lady Pat that owns the business. I was so shocked by the way I was treated and it was almost like pulling teeth to get her to agree to send me an itemized list of what was used for the deposit. I believe the first words out of her mouth were ' don't expect anything back'. When asked how that was possible, she told me that they house had to be 'gutted' and 'no one wanted to go inside' when she had been physically inside of my place a week before I moved out and didn't seem to have an issue barging in unannounced then. Also the house was sold to a new person (the one who 'gutted' it) when I was leaving, therefore that person has no control over my security deposit but somehow was given it. I have given Nexus my phone number probably 20 times(not an exaggeration) and every time I actually talk to them they somehow don't have it. I have also given them my forwarding address about 4 times yet I just had to give them it again. I am someone who rarely complains about things. This is actually the first review of any business I have ever been too. But I know my rights and know when they have been violated.I recommend to anyone that if you see a Nexus or Platinum Coast Real Estate sign out front of a place for rent or sale, turn the other cheek because they will screw you over. I'm shocked this place gets away with the things they do and that they haven't been reported to the real estate license bureau. They clearly think that people with low income are idiots and have no knowledge about the legalities of renting when all it takes is a simple web search or a call to the Florida Bar. We are a family of 5, my wife and i and 3 kids, ages 15, 10, and 5 , we lost our only a 07 nissan murano due to the engine blew up., We are struggling in how to go to work, kids doctor appointment, buying groceries etc., My wife lost her job due to transportation problems and im the only one working at the moment supplying the income for the whole family., This has been becoming an ongoing issues and have been getting to work late and miss couple of days due to transportation problems., Im the only one that supply income for this family and my job is at jeopardy., Please we need help! This by far the worse rental company I have ever dealt with. They charge for absolutely everything. If something needs fixing they will charge to fix it. Example if your a/c breaks they will charge you to look at it and good luck getting it fixed properly.
Extremely unprofessional, unresponsive, and inexperienced. IF they respond to you, they are arrogant, rude, and dishonest. One star is not a low enough rating! I have tried many times to address multiple disputes with SCPM and our BOD for over 7 months. SCPM has failed to coordinate a face to face meeting with the BOD to resolve these disputes. SCPM has ignored my phone calls, emails, and demand letters (including access to records). The SCPM rep (who is also a board member) fails to follow our HOA Docs and Covs and FS720. SCPM does not notify us of board meetings and does not keep meeting minutes. SCPM has not kept records for out HOA as required by their contract. On behalf of the HOA, SCPM has coordinated a company to replace my personally owned gutters without ever asking me, notifying me, or obtaining my consent. SCPM is implementing several improvement projects for the HOA and will not tell me what they are. SCPM has attempted to enforce rules on me that FS720 prohibits them from enforcing. SCPM changed reps then claimed "I know nothing." SCPM has lied to me about compliance with records access, coordinating face to face meetings, keeping me informed of repairs to my roof, and knowledge of ongoing rules violations. Quote from SCPM: "None of this will be an issue for you after you sell, so we are not going to respond to you." The estoppel statement SCPM provided said I owed money, but SCPM cannot provide a detailed statement. The the SCPM rep shows up at my closing to welcome the new owners and bring them gifts. Unbelievable...
We had rats when we first moved in, was charged $50 to remove. Had a pipe leak charged us $50 to repair and $50 to fix wall. Our lease is up and they are charging us $50 to inspect!!!
Very reliable, quick to answer tenant calls. Always pleasent to speak and very friendly! Gets the job done and is so easy to deal with.
