I have had nothing but great service from Hess Garage. Elvin and his staff are knowledgeable and give great customer service. I used to take my vehicles to a "ministry" to work on and Hess Garage rates are very comparable and they gave me a great deal on a set of "Tiger Paws". These are all hardworking decent people. They have looked at all three of my vehicles and have no problem working on them.
Had Audi in for a vibration in engine. Was told by a different mechanic previously that it could be muffler, but didn't look under hood or car because didn't have time that week, therefore I went to Zimmerman. They diagnosed it as $2000 exhaust, i said if it solves vibration to fix. Picked car up after hours and heard vibration on way home. Called next day and was told would look at, afterwards they said $1300 cam shaft adjuster was problem, but wouldn't replace old exhaust.My wife spoke with owner and in conversation mentioned that my wife's recent mis-carriage must be reason she's upset that Zimmerman will not refund $ and/or replace exhaust.I would suggest you look for other mechanics in Mechanicsburg if you need anything above an oil change/tire rotation.Hope helps make educated decision on where to take car.
I am extremely dissatisified with the alcoloc device. It constantly has early recall violations saying that it detected alcohol. I havent drank in over 2 months, haven't used mouthwash with alcohol, and rinse with water before every use. The staff of alcoloc in Mechanicsburg was not willing to work with me at all and demanded I pay $50 each time or they would disable my vehicle. I recommend choosing another vendor or having it switched to another as I did. Call Dmv for details on how to switch, and save yourself and your wallet and DO NOT CHOOSE ALCOLOC!
Went in for an oil change, no one was a head of me and it took a hour. Now when I step on the gas it sounds like I need a new exhaust.
I have always gone to Pep Boys for my tires because of all their advertising, after my tires went bald every year for the last 3 years I decided I wasnt going back. I was looking around for the best quality at the best price. I found Nitto Brand Touring Tires and used the $100 off instantly. When I arrived at NTB, the man at the counter was extremely polite and asked if I had an appt, which I did. He went and looked at my other tires and said the wrong size was put on (by Pep boys!) and said if i was able to look at their b2g2 instead of the $100 off instant deal. I said I did and if he could compare the two deals again. He ran the numbers and found although the b2g2 deal was $40 more, I got an alignment, free road hazard cov for a year, and 1 year alignment warranty. This was a great deal considering alignments cost over $100 alone. He said it should be an hr and a half and we went to grocery shop. At exactly an hr and a half later, I got a call that my car was done. Terrific place!

Steve is the go to guy with your automotive concerns. He was recommended by a family friend 15 yrs ago. Later he befriend my daughter at her place of business. We have taken our vehicles to him whenever there was a concern. He has always put it up on the rack and gave it a thorough check. his honest advise and fair quote if we asked for it. The latest experience was when my daughters car broke down in WV. We had to get her another car quick. We went shopping and found one at Bob Ruth. We took it for a test drive then to Steve to look at it. He pointed out that the tires were at the last of their life and ok for around town but not the 1000 miles needed to get her home. Everything else was great. We got tires and sent her on her way with the peace of mind she would make it home safe and not have to worry for a long time.
This has to be the worst garage ever the Owner would rather yell than listen. They will not back there work if they work on your vehicle and it has the same problem again they will charge you again and again. I advise everyone to stay clear of them.poor customer service

Wes, is not customer focused, had major issue and he refused to resolve it and never gave me my refund almost $1,000. worth of work. I went to my dealership paid less and my car is like new. I was trying to save money by having the work done at NTB, they didn't know what they were doing. I wanted to escalate the issue to who Wes reports to and he gave me wrong information. He gave me Tim Hensey ph# 312-560-0444, left message and he never called me back, wasn't even a place of business phone number. I can't believe how they just took advantage of me. All they do is try to upsell and drain people of money. They ruined my A/C and bent one of my parts, and refused to give me my money back. I have medical issues and this has been very stressful on me.
