This place is so bad that they owe me stars....I have had to rely on this sorry excuse for a business for years.
There has been countless times in which i would wait over an hour.
There has been multiple times when i have been completely lied to.
Do yourself a favor, Uber! Uber is cheaper, and 5 minutes is exactly 5 minutes (not 60 minutes).
If this place was a toilet i wouldnt even ×××× in it.....
I worked at Sunshine Taxi until today and I was shocked at what I've learned about how the owner is. She is rude,mean and out right disrespectful She would get extremely upset if her drivers were not working 18 hour days Many of the customers I had would complain about how she was although her prices were cheap The drivers are very nice but her not at all
I scheduled a pickup for 720am on a Thursday. Upon scheduling, I explained that I needed to be at the train station by 7:39 to catch the train and it was absolutely imperative to be on time since the 7:39 train is the LAST train of the day. Since I was only going a mile and a half and had called the day prior, I was assured the cab would be there on time. Of course, the cab did not show up until 7:36. We got to the train station just in time to watch the LAST train of the day depart without me on it!! I'm now stranded 40 miles from home with just enough money for train fare. Sunshine screwed me!!
You can't even call it "service" if they never pick you up. Called the day before to schedule a pickup and they never arrived. When I called the business, the message said they would be taking a "few hours off" so that "their drivers could get some rest", and that they would be open "around noon". Called them 3 times until 1:00 with no answer. Pass on these unprofessional idiots. They don't even want to be in business.
I write this after a 2 hour and 36 minute wait for a cab. The driver originally told me he would be here in 30 minutes. I had to call back and was told that they were short staffed and he would be just 15 more minutes. He never showed up and stopped answering the phone.
READ THIS AND SAVE YOURSELF MONEY - This company charges a $15 pick up fee, and $3 a mile!! I had them take me 9 miles to collect a rental and they charged $45. Their vehicle, an old Dodge Mini Van was falling apart, disgustingly filthy, and driven by someone from a section 8 home. You may think this is a rant by a disgruntled passenger, and in part you you be right, but the facts are the facts. Their cars are bordering on dangerous, are absolutely filthy, and their charges asinine (as described by the police officer I called when they demanded $45 for a 9 mile ride).
I would AVOID this company at all costs.
Never again would I use this HORRIBLE service. Called for a cab, nobody shows up. I call back and get yelled at by the owner that I should be waiting in my driveway. I ask why can't someone knock at the door or call me if they were here and was told "we don't do that!". Save yourself trouble and call Mchenry cab. Once I called them, I had no issues whatsoever!
I was approaching a stop sign in my neighborhood, in my lane, approaching the white line. I almost got taken out by a Hum Vee that couldn’t negotiate staying in his own lane making a turn. And I get a slow, long dirt look from the driver.

I think you need to learn how to navigate the vehicle you are driving. You guys might hurt someone and it was almost me and my family.
Tried to book a cab from McHenry to the Milwaukee Airport on Christmas day, the guy (Curtis) told me that it's $90 with a credit card and he would have someone call me to book it.
Tamara called me about 10 minutes later and told me it's $125. As this is a company trip, i have to get expenses approved. I told her i had to call her back because i was approved for $90, not $125. I spoke to my company and gave them a call back, i got Curtis on the line again, he said to call "boss lady" and gave me her cell phone number and that he's approving my trip for $90 on Christmas day.
I got back in touch with Tamara and she said she just spoke with him as well and he never said that. I JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH HIM.
Then she called him again (I can hear every word lady!) and then says that he never said that and the customer sitting with him confirmed it.
I told her fine - if you're not going to do it whatever, i need to get the cab booked.
She then started with "Isn't your company paying for all of this!?"
That's beside the point.
Her words then "well we're a small company and you're trying to nickle and dime us"
NO IM NOT
I was told one price and you then gave me another, after speaking with the orginal person MOMENT before you, i was told the incorrect price AGAIN
Finally i asked if she wanted my business or not, i agreed to the stupid $125 price. She said "you know what, no we don't, he said not to take it"
FINE, i'll go elsewhere.
I understand im pulling someone from their family to take me to the airport but i'm also having to work on the holiday so i'm in the SAME BOAT. I WOULD LOVE to sit at home with MY FAMILY. We all have crap to do - GROW UP
I made a reservation at 9AM for a 5:45PM pick-up the same day. When no one arrived at 5:45, I called Sunshine and was told that there was no reservation and no drivers available to pick me up. After going back and forth with him and trying to understand what happened it was clear that he didn't care and even implied I was a liar. I wasn't ranting or raving but wanted some explanation or apology but instead he hung up on me. When I immediately called back, I said that I'm going to find out who the owner is and let them know how you treated me and that you hung up on me. He (BOBBY) said I AM THE OWNER and hung up again. Need I same anymore? Frantic to get a ride to the Woodstock court house for a mandatory court appearance, I called MIKE'S TRANSPORTATION SERVICE and was pleasantly surprised when DENNIS answered the phone and said he'd help me out and come get me right after he picked up somenone from the train station. Within 15 minutes he picked me and got me to court in time. Now that's excellent customer service on very short notice. Sunshine's website talks about how they honor their mother through their service but I'm sure she's looking down in disappointment on this operation and poor customer service. All Bobby would have had to say was I'm sorry but there must have been a mix-up and someone forgot to write this down and unfortunately I don't have a driver available, but instead he hangs up on me TWICE. I highly recommend MIKE'S TRANSPORTATION SERVICE to everyone in Woodstock for their transportation needs.
This company is awful. Rude customer service (Or lack there of). The driver was late so we called to find out why. Some guy thought it was a joke on the other end when we called and was completely insulting. No manners, no respect and completely oblivious to what a real business is. The local limo service in town is less expensive and more respectful. Do yourself a favor, avoid this so called "company" and try something else.
