Used to be good but not anymore. My son got turned away while in pain due to paperwork--we have money and we have insurance. Avoid, because they now focus on how they are going to get paid more than actual care for patients.

I LOVE IT THERE, all the people are very nice and very cool, 10/10 would recommend. The doctor is very nice and gentle !

Clean, professional and fun! I was so scared to go to the dentist until the hygenist and Dr. Sturt assured me I would be very comfortable. When I had my filling done I barely felt the shot and they even use laughing gas. Now I can go back to the dentist again!

Very disappointed with the Customer Service he has in his office. Just got a bill from them no explanation just a balance due. Called the office was advice it was a 40.00 charge for a no show which I called to canceled. Was told by the receptionist that I would get a credit if my daughter would schedule a follow up. I have insurance and I have always asked to have done what my insurance covers and they would say we called and it has been approved. But guess what I still get a bill. Mr. Sturt is good, unfortunately the people he has working for him are making him loose clients. He needs to rethink his collection process or charging unfair charges. He just lost 6 clients and many more because I will let my family know.

Have been going there for years, really like Dr Sturt but very disappointed in the $40 fee charged even though I left a message to cancel my appointment. The receptionist was rude, she said it was too late. iI was getting ready to make 3 appointments and now have made them with a new dentist. Apparently customer retention is not important.

My wife was charged a $40 appointment cancellation fee even though our family pet died the night before the appointment. And even though I explained the situation over the phone a second time, AND even asked them in writing to reconsider via email, their final answer was "We won't drop the fee, that's our company policy.". There wasn't even any sympathies offered!!! Even though I felt the Doctor and Hygenists are great, I wouldn't recommend anyone to go here... Especially if you own any pets.

My family has been going to McHenry Smile Center for years. Did you know that if you miss more than 1 appointment (without 24 hrs notice)you will be charged $1 dollar per minute? I guess that is 1 missed appointment in a lifetime. In all the years I have been going there, this was the 2nd time I missed an appointment. I don't know about you, but I don't make $1 dollar a minute. Dentist not bad, CUSTOMER SERVICE BAD!!!! SHAME on you, I paid the $40.00 dollars, they have lost my business and my families business for $40.00 dollars..... Their loss.....

They are very unprofessional and hung up on my wife twice when she was trying to talk to them about charging us $40 for an appointment we never made. They called to remind us about an appointment we never made and the next day we called them to tell them we never made an appointment and they hung up on us. The next thing is we get a bill for a missed appointment. Dr. Sturt should be embarrased and shocked at the unprofessionalism of his customer service staff. What disrespect their staff showed by hanging up the phone. I would never recommend this dentist to anyone.

Awesome staff and they make your visit very comfortable for the denta-phobic!
