great value , wonderfull experience.

nice building, beautiful furniture, decoration and artwork. the ilumination and ligthing adds character to the new texan ambiance.

first my wife had a delicious margarita and I had the best cucumber martini at the bar, recomended by miguel the bartender. we then sat at a table in the patio next to the fountain, where live music was playing. pili our server was very friendly and attentive, for appetizer we had a delicious chile frito, and for dinner my wife ordered the amazing avocado salmon and i had the best pizza (the crust was crispy and chewy at the same time) baked in the wood burning oven, situated in the entrance of the restaurant, and for dessert we had the fabulous almond taco.

next to us there were families with kids and a large group of local people and everybody seemed to be having a great time. i highly recommend this restaurant to everybody.

Sneaky Waitress

The food was great. Our waitress though was horrible they should tell you what drink aren't free refills and she had the nerve too keep ALL my change. She didn't even come back to give us the reciepts or anything.

Favorite place to dine

When my husband and I want to have great food and great service this is where we go. They have the best pizzas and although they do not have any tomato sauce they are exceptional. Everything that we have tried has been great and our standards are prettty high. We usually have the chile frito as an appetizer and share a goat cheese pizza for our entree. We have never been disappointed and their service is consistently great and well worth the money. The ambience is suited for a family dining experience as well as an adult dinner. It is intimate and they accomidate mostly all your needs. We have never been dissapointed. I love to bring out of town visitors and likewise they love it. Although some of the entrees can be pricey, overall the prices will not disappoint. Needless to say I would much rather pay a little extra for food that is actually prepared in the kitchen then for food that comes semi prepared and is just finished off in the kitchen. The best part is that they always make you feel welcomed...we always feel like we are part of the family.

Looks great, tastes better!

At the busy interesection of 10th street and 83 I did not expect easy parking and immediate seating on a Friday night! Prompt but not rushed service by the attentive waiters was so welcome. The quiet classy brick inside and out was instantly relaxing. Stuffed Chile Fritos were an adventurous choice on my part, and I was not disappointed: hand-breaded Anaheim peppers stuffed with goat cheese, cream cheese and chorizo, and fried to a golden brown. Absolutely delicious. Then Desert Fire Pasta (Sauteed Gulf shrimp, angel hair pasta and mushrooms, tossed in a light poblano cream sauce) was a second adventure that paid off. Here were two unique menu items that made you happy you didn't stick to the safe steak, burger or pizza. From beginning to end our dining experience was perfect, both in atmosphere and taste. Our twentieth anniversary is tomorrow but I feel like we started celebrating today. We'll be back when in the area!

I recently ate here with my fiance and we both thought the food and service were very good. It is a great family restuarant and also has some nice outdoor seating areas that are perfect for the Valley's weather!

Got violently ill from the seafood enchiladas. It was a nightmare!

Spent 12 hours violently ill in the bathroom after dining on the seafood enchiladas. Ended up spending over $200 to postpone a flight and another $100 for an extra night in the hotel because I was so sick.

One of the BEST!

This is one of the best places to dine in the Rio Grande Valley. The food is always excellent as is the service. The stuffed pepper appetizer and the enchiladas are amazing. If there is one place I want to eat every weekend, it's here!

A meal of appetizers.

This week I went for my regular lunch but decided to sample the appetizers. It was a good choice on my part. The fried mushrooms were large and the serving was generous. Not overcooked, the mushrooms were still fresh tasting, coated with a piquant breading. Accompanied with a cilantro ranch dressing, it was perfection. The guacamole was zesty without being overpowered by onion and garlic. The tortilla chips were thin and crisp.
