Sauteed clam appetizer was unedible, made with low quality clams that were fishy & sandy accompanied by a bland sauce. Salad was a tiny bread plate of wilted lettuce. For being the only customers there, our meals took forever to be prepared. My mother ordered french onion soup & eggplant rollatini which she felt were both average & commented the pasta sauce tasted as if it were spiced up out of a can. my meal, veal saltimboca, which was advertised in the menu as being topped with prosciutto came out with capicola ham on it. I am confident I know the difference between the two. I cook as a hobbey, my father was a chef & owned his own restaurant for 20 years, so I was shocked when I sent it back & the owner/cook insisted it was prosciutto. So I just ordered spaghetti & meatballs after that. The meatballs were barely warm, the sauce was very watery, and the pasta overcooked. Needless to say we will not be returning again.
The food was excellent. You received more food for the money than I thought. The atmosphere is quaint. I really enjoyed the food and talking with the owner. The pasta is home made. Ower is so very friendly. My brother and his fiance have decided to have their wedding and a very small wedding reception there. It is a place that played nice music while you ate.
