We have made at least 15 purchases over the years of many appliances and several pieces of furniture.. Unfortunately we just experienced awful customer service and very rude comments by Heather at the service desk in Maumee. We had an issue with a broken spring in one of two identical chairs purchased there. I took the spring into the store and asked to speak to someone about it. I spoke with Savannahs who assured me that a service manager would contact me about it in a day or two. I called after 4 days to follow up and spoke with the service manager, Jul especially and she apologized and told me that she had never received any message from Savannahs about my concern. She discussed the broken spring issue with me and told me that she could use the ticket information from the chair that was purchased just almost 3 years ago. I thanked her for accommodating that and she said within 7 to 10 days I would get the spring and she would call to let me know it was in. I waited 2 weeks and had not heard anything from her so I called and spoke with her again. She said she had the order and she would contact the manufacturer to find out where it was and would let me know. Tomorrow it would have been another 2 weeks since any communication so I drove to the store and spoke with an employee, Heatherwho is the worst example of customer service I have ever dealt with. She was not only rude but very mouthy and snippy in her responses. I then finally got to speak with a Manger, Jeff who was extremely professional and listened patiently to the situation and dates and names as I keep track of who I speak with, what dates and what I was told each time. Oddly enough after getting in contact with June's I was told the spring that I waited a month for would be available to pick up in the store in 2 days. . I told Jeff that this point I spoke with him not about the spring but the unprofessional customer service that Heathers displayed.

First time i have ever bought from this place......misleading sales people I bought 6000 in appliances and no one has gotten back with me on my rebate which i never got a code for to turn it in... when i call they say they will get back with me.. but don't ....I had to call them back about my stove that had a griddle on it when displayed But not once did the sales person state it didn't come with that model as i was buying it they did end up giving me which they called( a free griddle ) Called about my rebate and they stated once again they would get back with me a week in a half later no one has contacted me If I ever need appliances again I will return to Best Buy never had the run around I got from Appliance Center. after spending my hard earned money big big disappointment on how they handle the after effects :(
I was a loyal customer for over 20Years & purchased every appliance I ever bought from them. Never again. Last January, I purchased a refrigerator for my basement & it died 3 weeks ago. I called the manufacturer & they told me that this refrigerator should never have been placed in a basement which was 55-60 degrees (ridiculous). Appliance Center knew exactly where it was going when I bought it. On Tuesday, I called to see if there is anything they could do & was told a Manager would call me. On Wednesday, I sent a Facebook message, on Thursday I sent a Tweet & an instagram. Finally, last night I posted my story on their page which resulted in a call this morning. They offered for me to pay for a service call, so basically nothing. I said no thanks as they will get no more money from me. He called back & offered a discount on the service call (it's a promotion on their Facebook page). No! Subsequently, they blocked me on Facebook. I will do no further business with them.
If I could give zero stars, I would. They don't stand behind their products nor their customers. I think after spending $10,000 that the store should be more willing to satisfy the customer if they have a problem with an appliance that doesn't completely satisfy their needs. Appliance center stated they would not and could not take the appliances back because they were delivered 4 months ago, not even to sell two different appliances to replace the ones that we don't like at all. And when I explained the frustration of the store not caring to help us out and how horrible their customer service is, Jim aka "Mr Stewart" (their code name for a general manager) hung up on me. 100% he hung up. I believe because he didn't want to hear me continue to state that I believe they should be willing to refund us partially for the appliances we don't like (washer and dryer). Why is it acceptable to employ a manager that doesn't know how to complete a discussion, when I remained calm and explained my frustrations, he couldn't handle the fact that I was not satisfied and stated how horribly he was handling the situation. Even suggesting I lie to Electrolux to make them believe the machines weren't working properly but only "intermittently". I don't need to go to Electrolux when we purchased the machines from appliance center and are simply unsatisfied with the design of the machines. They're not cleaning our clothes very well and there is a mildew smell in the machine even when we leave the door open. Haven't been hung up on before by a real business, just scam callers when I request to be taken off their list. My call with "Jim" ended just like all of my scam calls end.
We purchased a couch and love seat in September. 4 days after it was delivered, it had faded in 2 spots in the shape of a figure 8. We took pictures of the defective furniture and they sent a service crew out and they agreed that the furniture was defective. We were told we would have a store credit and that we could come in and pick out different furniture. We did so on October 8, 2016. We picked out a new couch and love seat and were told that the love seat would have to be special ordered and that it would take 4- 6 weeks. Today November 8, 2016 we received a phone call stating that the furniture we ordered a month ago is now all of a sudden not available. Really, it took you 4 weeks to realize that. Now we are told that we are pretty much stuck with the defective furniture, or our other option is that we can have the same love seat with a built in console in it. I dont want a console in my love seat. I was also told I could have appliance center pick up the funiture and they would offer me an in store credit. I told her I did not like any of those options.....I also told her I should call my attorney to get involved, to which her response was "Go ahead and call your attorney and have a nice day." WOW, customer service at its best, huh? I asked to speak to the furniture manager and I was told there wasnt one available. This is so ridiculous. I cant believe this is how they do business. I can assure you, that as soon as this is resolved, everyone I know will be aware of appliance center's horrible customer service.
We are a foster and adoptive family and have always purchased from appliance center. We always bring all of our children with us. Everyone have been very kind and helpful and my kids always want to know when we can go back. So thank you Appliance Center I'm sure we will see you soon. Kovalik 4560 Thackeray Rd. Maumee
I received a flyer and scratched off an entry for a gift certificate. I got the $25 and went to the Appliance center. The salesman informed me that the $25 could only be used towards a purchase in the store. Wish the flyer indicated this, as it was a total waste of my time. Deceptive advertisement!! When I want to make a big ticket purchase, I will pick a more honest store!!! $25 towards an in store purchase is not even 10% !! What a rip off!!
We will NEVER do business here again. After being faithful customers for well over 20 years and spending well over $20,000 there over the years we were treated like garbage and told not to come back after trying to rectify a mistake made by the Appliance Center. The appliances were purchased the 27th of May and we JUST now got the issue resolved on October 6th after much prodding. And yes, the "management" was involved and he was incredibly unprofessional and clearly doesn't have the customer's satisfaction in mind and is literally running customers away (if you consider telling us to never come back into his store over the phone). Talking care of this problem in a timely manner would have fixed it all...
