She recently completed her residency training at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence, Rhode Island where she held the position of chief resident. Throughout residency Dr. Miles received extensive training in forefoot surgery, diabetic wound care, limb salvage, and reconstructive foot and ankle procedures in both a clinical and surgical setting. She brings this experience to her practice and is committed to providing outstanding care to her community and her patients.

Skin cancer can develop anywhere on the body, including in the lower extremities. Most skin cancers of the feet are painless, and often there is a history of recurrent cracking, bleeding, or ulceration.

She then attended the University of South Carolina Honors College where she completed her bachelor’s degree in Biology, graduating cum laude with honors. After earning her undergraduate degree, Breelyn went on to attend podiatry school at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in the heart of NYC. She received her degree of D.P.M (Doctor of podiatric medicine) giving her vast education in the pathology and ailments of the foot and ankle.

After graduation, Dr. Carlisle completed his residency training at Emory University Decatur in Atlanta, Georgia (formerly known as DeKalb Medical Center). He had extensive training in Podiatric surgery of both the foot and ankle and additional training in wound care, trauma, limb salvage, and elective surgery. He also had training in diabetic foot and wound care with the large diabetic population in the area. His residency program is associated with the Podiatry Institute, which Dr. Carlisle is a faculty member, helping with the ongoing education in the area of foot and ankle surgery.
