I went to visit Penny and Donna when I was 8 months pregnant with my first child. I was so worried about leaving a 12 week old infant with strangers, but my husband and I did not have family close and working was a necessity. I met Penny and she gave me a warm greeting, took me on a tour, and immediately made me feel like home. I had questions about cloth diapering, and Donna was there to share her personal experience and to confirm that we could even have the service pick up and drop off at Endeavor to make things easier. After the visit, I felt confident that Endeavor was the right choice. Penny has a heart of gold and truly loves my children as much as I do. She is their second mom, my own personal shoulder to cry on, and the rock that got me through lots of sick days and worry with my first daughter, who had endless ear infections and constant fevers. Upon the arrival of my second daughter, Penny drove to the hospital, met us there, and took my first daughter home to her house so I would not worry about her. She always has my family's best interest at heart, no matter what. We consider her part of our family. When my daughters were babies, I used to stop by Endeavor on my lunch break to nurse, and a comfortable private area was always available. I was encouraged to treat Endeavor like home--to use the sink to clean up, the refrigerator or freezer if needed, etc. It really made my transition back to work so much less stressful. The teachers are all wonderful. Regardless of the classroom, I felt like they all loved my kids, and wanted the best for them. Now, from the point of view of my children... My older daughter had friends of every age group and it was almost impossible to reign her in to go home when I picked up in the evenings because she was too busy playing and having fun. I made the decision to become a stay at home mom recently, but she still talks about "school" and her friends there and activities she enjoyed. She learned so much in the 2.5 years she spent at Endeavor; the teachers are so committed to the kids and as a parent you receive daily feedback. They keep journals, take pictures, and document progress, so even though you can't be there, you don't miss anything. There is a focus on being outside in the fresh air to play, plant gardens, discover insects, build, create, and let imaginations soar. All in all, if you are looking for a place that provides the comfort of home with the structure to help your children learn and grow to the best of their ability, Endeavor is the place.

Endeavor Learning Center was our daughter Ava's first experience with school and we could not be happier with the results. She started at age 3 and a half in a classroom with between 3 and 5 other children (depending on the day). The small class size helped her get comfortable in the classroom setting without being lost in the shuffle of a larger class. We quickly saw improvement in Ava's interaction with other children both in and out of school. She used to tell us that she didn't want to go places b/c there were too many people there. Being in school has corrected her aversion to crowds! When Ava turned 4 she moved into a new class. Her teachers helped make her transition to the new, larger class a smooth one. She is doing great in her new class. Endeavor offers so many wonderful things for our daughter. She loves to play outside on the trail and is always thrilled to show mom and dad the little pieces of nature she brings home with her. Weekly Spanish lessons have been a big hit with her as well. I am regularly corrected when I call mommy's car blue! We love how her teachers take an idea that Ava is interested in and run with it. The other day Ava was talking about putting numbers together and asking what you would get so her teacher worked with her on addition for the day! She is also learning to make smart food choices and take care of the world around her. She tells me at least once a day that I am wasting water! We could not be happier with our decision to send our daughter to Endeavor Learning Center. She has gained so much in the time she has spent there. The staff is wonderful and caring and the facilities are beautiful. Dann and Michelle
Our son has attended Endeavor for two years and we are extremely pleased with our experience with them. The main reasons I would recommend Endeavor are: 1. High Quality Teachers /Small class sizes – they all have degrees and numerous years of experience. I feel that I can trust them in assisting with my child’s development. 2 Curriculum/Learning – they bring in outside speakers from different fields (Zoo, etc.), concentration on teamwork between the kids, organize field trips, and even have Spanish classes. 3. Recreation Time/Environment/Exercise – they spend a lot of time outside at their playgrounds or walking on their nature trails, and they have a large indoor play area for when the weather is bad. 4. Food – all the meals are organic. 5. Communication – I get to read the blogs about what is happening and I also receive a daily activity note with details about his day. 6. Location - It is near 71 and allows us easy access for dropping off and picking up our son. I would highly recommend Endeavor to any parent looking for high quality childcare in the Mason/Maineville/Lebanon/Morrow area. Give them a call or visit and you will see right away they are the right choice for your children.
I found Endeavor somewhat by accident when I was interviewing child care centers when I was pregnant with my daughter. Within 5 minutes of meeting the staff I felt very at home and calm. I am so glad I chose them! Every day Miss Penny makes time to talk to me at drop off and pick-up, and we have become good friends. All the other staff are always friendly and interested in what is going on and show nothing but affection for my daughter. You could also say that I have some more "alternative" parenting choices such as baby-led weaning, cloth diapering, etc., and they have really worked with me to learn about them and integrate them into their program. I would highly recommend Endeavor to anyone, wether they are looking for part time or full time care. In fact, I selected them because they were close to my office, but I recently switched jobs and continue to drive my daughter 40 minutes to their location because I value their level of care so much. I truly feel that they love my daughter as if she were a family member of their own.
This center is tremendous! My children have been attending this school for 2.5 years now and are developing at rates faster than we ever anticipated. We drive 20 minutes out of our way, and past 7 other centers, just to attend this center. It is by far the best in the area. I have never seen such engagement from ALL the teachers and staff at a children's center or school. The director is extremely passionate about making the center the best it can be, and shows genuine affection for each child in her school. She works diligently with all of the teachers and staff to ensure each child is not only learning and experiencing new things, but also that each child grows and develops into genuinely good people. They have on multiple occasions approached me with suggestions they have for things they think will benefit my children. They never stop amazing me. We recommend this Center to everyone we know, and it I think that it is important to tell everyone I can!
Our search for child care seemed endless. Every place we visited seemed institutional and cold, and I could not imagine leaving my child in the care of any of these places. A friend of mine told me about Endeavor, and from the moment we walked in, I knew it was different. It was clean, open and warm. Our daughter felt comfortable immediately, and the teachers were friendly and loving. Endeavor is not a day care center. It is a child-focused school that offers fun, learning, respect for the environment and most importantly, love for children. This would not be possible without the teachers, who provide amazing programs for the kids and treat the children like their own. We feel truly blessed to have found Endeavor and could not imagine taking our child anywhere else.
"We were excited to finally find a place that not only had the kind, loving staff and age-appropriate curriculum we were looking for, but also met our needs when it came to offering healthy and organic food. We truly believe there is no other place in Cincinnati that can even come close to the dedication the teachers have for our children's education, health and most importantly, happiness. The small class sizes allow the teachers and staff to really get to know each child well and incorporate his/her interests into the curriculum. The land surrounding the facility lets kids explore nature trails, plant gardens and see wildlife (what other place can say they have nature trails?!) We could not have been happier with Endeavor, and neither could our three daughters!"
We couldn't be happier with the staff, the facility and curriculum at Endeavor. From the first time we visited, we were immediately taken by the warmth and nurturing environment Penny and Donna have cultivated here. Not only do we value their respect for environment, nature and healthy living, but also their emphasis on building community amongst the children and families. There are so many options when it comes to daycare facilities, and I truly believe that there is no better place for our daughter.
Our family has been with ELC since the center began - first with our daughter Katherine, who spent 3 amazing years at ELC. Katherine has just completed kindergarten and had a wonderful experience due, in no small measure, to the great start that ELC gave her in socialization, learning and active play. Our son John has been with ELC for 2 years and has a great relationship with the school, his classmates and the ELC playground - we couldn't be happier to be a part of the ELC family.
