I am the owner's husband. This is a response to Amie P. Your husband spent months doing a 2-3 week job. It is not our my wife's fault that he spent most of his time somewhere beside the job site. That "day and night" thing is not correct. His M.O. Was to show up late afternoon to evening. When he was there he spent a lot of his time smoking. My wife paid $1200 a month in rent while your husband was still working. That cost her $2400. She also had electric, water, and Internet that she paid for while he was still working. Your husband's bid was $13,900. That was supposed to be for everything including the plumbing and electrical work. Later, we found out that my wife would have to pay the electrician and plumber an additional $4000. Your husband also included in the bid to build a pallet wall and install. My dad built the wall and it is still not installed. Your husband also knew that he would need extra ceiling tiles which he did not buy and instead placed old, multiple cut pieces in the grids to fill the spaces. Your husband shorted her on baseboard that was presumably in the bid. Because your husband can't cut angles on drywall, he put molding pieces in every corner just like in mobile homes. The bid included painting that my wife and I did most of because he was never going to finish. We also purchased the paint which should have been in the bid. My wife spent $622 on an electrician to come and install the electrical work for the washer and dryer. Your husband was supposed to do that. Your husband also bid to build a reception desk which he didn't. That cost my wife $400. The drywall seams are horrible because your husband didn't mud and sand the seams properly. The wall end that faces outside a glass wall is not finished and capped to make it look good. This should have been done prior to raising the wall and a good contractor should have known that. All we can do now is try to cover it up so that it doesn't look so bad. I can keep going but I won't. Pictures don't lie. The bid was for $13,900. Your husband was paid $12,900. We have spent way more than $1000 fixing his screw ups and the things that he was supposed to do that he didn't so you won't get another dime. We have had two contractors tell us that we overpaid by at least $3000 on the stuff that he did do even considering that most of his job was poor. The floors look good if you get past the door transition pieces. That $3000 could have paid for the plumbing and electrical that was extra for your husband's bid. My wife doesn't owe your husband a living. You want to make it sound like $1000 caused him to lose "his home, his vehicles and his family." We know that you and your husband were separated way before this job. If your husband was as good as you think, he would have jobs lined up and even if he got screwed out of $1000 he would be working somewhere else. If you would like to continue this slander of my wife, I will be happy to place pictures all over the Internet of your husband's work and start naming names and even leaving reviews for him on his Facebook page. My wife did not want to respond because she is nice. I'm not! If you continue, I will be happy to tell people to stay away from your husband's service in every way I know. I will leave everyone with one picture of his work. This was supposedly finished even though the electrical outlets were not there for the washer/dryer. Also, that's pretty much what his drywall job looks without paint.
I came into Linda's one afternoon looking to find someone to help me with a certin hair style that i have been trying to get for months. I was greeted at the door by a nice young lady who directed me to a stylist named Meridith. Even though she was waiting on a client who was running late she sat down and talked to me about what i liked and disliked about my hair. When her client got there she handed me a few magizines and asked me if i would look through them and find a cut simular to what i was looking for. When she finished with her other client Meridith invited me over to her chair and we picked up where we left off. I showed her a picture of a simular cut and she asked me about my styling routine. Once we talked about the cut i wanted and how to style it, Meridith talked me through every step of my cut and the showed me what i need to do to get the look i want while styling it. I can honestly say that i now have the best cut thtat i have had in years! I will be back to see Meridith in the next 4to6 weeks to maintain my new look. This girl ROCKS!!!
I thought La Nese salon and spa was a very nice place. I got a package deal through a promotion they were doing and it was awesome. Ive only been 1 time but i am looking forward to going back when i get a chance. I got a massage while i was there and the lady that did the massage did a great job. It was the first time i had ever gotten a massage at a spa and i enjoyed it. It was very relaxing. I also got a hair cut during the visit and the young girl that cut it was very sweet and friendly. I usually have bad experiences when getting a hair cut such as old women who dont know all the younger styles too well and dont understand when i try to explain to them what i want and i end up hating them all but not this time. She was not a stuffy and grumpy old lady. She was energetic, easy to talk to and did exactly what i asked her to do. I really liked it. Everyone there was really friendly and more places need to be like that. I am planning on getting my mother a gift certificate from there when i can and i think she will be satisfied as well.
My daughter used to cry no matter who I took her to in order to have her hair done. It was never right. About 6 years ago we started going to Wendy at Ganues. It was life changing. My daughter always loves her hair now. She is away at college, but will wait until she can get back to town for Wendy to do her hair. Wendy also does my hair better than anyone I have used. The cuts, color, everything is great when she does it. And if she thinks something is not right for you, she will tell you. She won't just do it and let you create and awful look for yourself. She's awesome! Ganues also has the best atmosphere and the most friendly people. They should get Number 1 in the annual contest for Best Hair Salon.
Wow! After seeing a picture in the paper about the grand opening and new location of Bebes Salon I decided to try it. The salon was beautiful, and the service was outstanding. I was a walk-in and was given a Russain stylist named Marina. She gave me a brand new modern cut and great color! I'm telling all of my friends about this place. I saw on the wall that they were voted the #2 salon in Maryville in the Readers Choice awards by new newspaper and now I know why. Everyone was so friendly!
This is a friendly place with lots of great products available, including Bare Minerals. The services are excellent and being there is re-energizing because of the fun people who work there. They have an esthetician that gives facials to die for! I always look forward to my visits to Salon 309 because I look and feel great afterwards. If I were a cosmetologist, this is where I would want to work. Best salon in the area, hands down.
Michelle does a great hair cut. She listens to what I want done and does it. She communicates to me throughout the cut instead of just doing a cut that she wants to try. She has a loyal client base and I understand why. She is always professional and I look forward to my appointment with Michelle. The clothes in the boutique are adorable! The salon is beautiful. Give Michelle a call for a great salon experience.
Marina Trubnyakova rocks! She did a cut for one of my friends that looked really good so I decided to try this new salon and a new stylist. I had always driven to Knoxville before thinking Knoxville salons were better, but not anymore. Couldn't be happier with my new look! I got a cut, color and highlights. Everybody seemed nice there too and it was packed. That's always a good sign!
i have been to notibly the "BEST, most EXPENSIVE Salons" in Blount & Knox County, however and most undoubtedly the best, friendliest, professional stylist in Blount County ... is Linda Kirby ... she always does exactly what is needed when cutting, coloring, or whatever to my thinning, fine naturally curly hair. Will never go elsewhere again. I have found the best.
I went to Be Be Salon for the first time yesterday. Kourtney was great! She did exactly what I asked for (even though I was not exacly sure myself what I was asking for!) I love it! My students asked me this morning what I had done to my make-up, because I looked younger. I said I had done nothing different, I had a new hair style! Thanks again!
