This Clinic is very impressive. I visited the clinic with my GSD for the very first time, and the waiting room was full. Dr. Mark Steele looked at my dog who was suffering from adverse effects from prednisone for her perianal fistulas. He immediately said that it was probably an immunal disease and we needed to find out what exactly it is (which one). They drew blood, and when I was in the lobby, a lady told me that they are great there and I won't be disappointed. I had been going to Mypets animal hospital in Alcoa for the last year, and their diagnosis was much more uneducated than Dr. Steele's. Dr. Heather told me it "could be a pinched spinal cord", but she didn't know until they did x-rays, but she prescribed my dog pain meds for this condition that she was unsure she had....That was the last visit for me at Mypets, and Chilhowee has my business from now on. It was just night and day. It's like going to a medical doctor that doesn't really know what he's doing, and going to a dr. that has been doing it for 10 yrs. I'm very impressed w/Chilhowee.
About 3 years ago my dog contracted the parvo virus. If you've never read or heard of parvo then I highly suggest that you look it up because it is a very serious illness. It kills 80% of pups without treatment, and 20% with!
We left my poor baby in their wonderful care for days. I thought that he wasn't going to make it, but he did!
A year and a half later he swallowed a firework, but we thought he had gotten into anti-freeze. We rushed him to their care and as always they took the best care of him!
Chilhowee is the best. They saved my baby's life...twice!

Chilhowee Vet allowed me to enjoy 4 more months with our dearly departed Yorkie named Season Morningstar. Dr West is the owner, and while I was on a cruise, and had to leave Season in the Vet Hospital, he took such good care of her and after 5 days we were able to bring her home.
