June 9th my wife and I were very excited to visit J & R Auto Sports to Purchase a 2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid. We’d spoken to Jack on the phone regarding the car and were pre-approved by our bank. We’re starting a family and need a safe. We received the opposite from JR. We drove to Everett from Bellingham; it was dark and rainy when we arrived. We were greeted by Jack and went on a test drive. Everything went well and we noticed no obvious issues. Upon returning to the dealership I noticed the daytime running lights weren’t illuminated. I asked Jack about it and they made several attempts to turn them on to no avail. Then they said that all models did not have that as an option. I’m an electrical Engineer, I could see the LED’s inside the lens cover. They then said well the car’s under warranty, which is correct. We purchased the car and took it to a reputable Hyundai dealer. Within the first hour of inspection they called to tell us the car had been impacted from the front and rear. Its clear J & R did no due diligence, they weren’t aware of the daytime running lights, didn’t know a light was out were negligent in inspecting the vehicle before selling it to a customer. JR mentioned several times that we review them on social media etc. so this is me obliging. We immediately called to speak to the manager. He told my wife there was nothing he could do and t no concessions would be made. Thanks to JR Auto Sports our 6 year old will be travelling in a car that was impacted from the front and rear. I admit to fault in not noticing the rear light being out, not realizing the incompetence of their staff during the headlight debacle and choosing a disreputable company like JR who does absolutely no safety checks on their vehicles and pushes them on to young families. We were stunned to contact the manager and have him not only get heated on the phone but offer zero compromises. Here’s the honest review you requested J & R Scam sports.
My wife and I bought a rig from this place back in January. The rig died the 4th day we had it and only the 5 the time started. They sent there mechanic Mikey is the persons name. The moron ran the engine with out the belt on. And caused the vehicle to over eat. They then took it to there shop. Were they said that it was fixed, they refused to bring it back to the house where they picked it up. And brought it to my wife's work. Where she tried to drive home to have it not make it 12 miles home. And have proceeded to tell us it's our fault. There idea of making it right was giving$400 towards a new $2000 engine. If this place was on fire I wouldn't walk across the street to piss on it.
If you want to go to a place that will do anything to get you into the vehicle you want, this is the place to go. Aaron did everything in his power to ensure that we got our car. Everyone there is very respectful and professional. Can't say enough good things about tulalip motorsports. Great cars, great prices, great people!
Beyond awful. Spent $90 in an Uber and an hour ride to marrysville with my daughter just to get here and be denied the car I was promise. They ended up giving me a "deal" on a crappie car that dI'd within hours of pulling off the lot $1400 down the drain and now I'm jobless. Take your hard earned money elsewhere!
The truck I have bought from Mt Loop Motors for $8000.00 a month ago has been in the shop more than I have used it. First problem was the alignment, a bad hub assembly and next ABS lights out indicating a bad module. Seems to me a comprehensive safety check would have caught this and the braking system repaired prior to placing it on their lot for sale. When I took it in to Les Swab the manager informed me the codes had been erased, hence the reason the service light was not on when I purchased the truck. I paid for an alignment, new hub assembly and new tires to replace the bad ones that came with the truck. On my way to dropping it off with them to "fix" the braking system the windshield started leaking water into the cab of the truck. Now an added bonus, after having to leave the truck with them for a week I pick it up and the back brakes are still shimming, the windshield installed by their installers (paid by me) was not fully installed. The bottom panel that holds the blades and secures the bottom rubber seal was left just sitting in place. On the left side panel where it should have been secured with a screw it was busted and the screw missing. The other side they didnt even bother to screw it in! After a week of them having it I picked it up I parked it. On 10/28 I decided to take a trip 350 miles away. On the way to my destination the transmission went out and stranded me. The Chevrolet mechanic explained, although the transmission fluid appeared to be fresh when checking it prior to buying, it is common for dealers to mask a bad transmission buy changing out fluid. It will be $3000.00 to replace. I have yet to hear back from the owners regarding the transmission replacement. Requests to have the owners contact me continue to be ignored. I am on the hook for $8000.00 for a vehicle which was marketed by the car lot to have the expectation to be fit for ordinary driving purposes for a reasonable amount of time.
My husband and I have purchased 3vehicles from Aaron at tulip motorsports..and would be hard pressed to go anywhere else ? Why but a new car for 20 or 40thousand and it's worth 10 thousand less before you get it home???buying a USED car from anyone else would be foolish Aaron and his team are low pressure high customer service!obviously buying a USED car requires a little more research and if you do that research then you will know Tulalip motorsports is the way to go!
i had very little money bad credit and was new on the job. i went to several dealerships but j and r was my last stop. the first three dealers i went to mobbed me on the spot and tried to sell me everything under the sun but once they saw my credit score they either tried to sell me some piece of junk or demanded more of a down. the first thing i noticed at j and r in Marysville was that no one bothered me on the lot. i was able to check out the cars they had and then went inside to ask if they could help me. Jared was very polite and made me feel welcome. he told me that i was free to look at anything i liked and that he would only answer questions or help if i wanted him to. he said that he does not chase people around trying to sell them something witch i liked very much. I test drove several cars until i found one that i could afford. Jared worked with the banks and was able to not only get me a loan but with low payments. I can not say enough about this buisness they made me feel welcome un pressured and a valuable customer. No the car i bought is not perfect but no used car is unless you want to spend the money. it is dependable comfortable and even has air conditioning. thank you J and R autosports for the second chance and treating me like a human being and not an ATM!!!
