Very friendly and personable. Not like some pawn shops that treat you like they just scored. I was unable to provide my receipt and they gave me options like I was their 1st customer and kept me calm. Fair offers and nice selection. Their doorman helped me feel secure.
IF I could give zero stars I would- worst staff ever really rude.I guess in their mind $ 20 is worth a long time customer taking his business elsewhere. BAD BUSINESS, RUDE MANAGER,INSERT AN ACCUSATION WHERE AN APOLOGY IS APPPROPRIATE.
I found a Thermal imaging scope there and asked what they could do for me on price, The manager said, "nothing it just came out", in a very rude, short tone.
I said "they are $ 550 brand new, in the past, at a minimum, you would reduce it by the tax amount"
She replied, "It is brand new we just opened it to check it" and ignored me about the price reduction part of my question
I asked "For $400 plus tax, I would like to make sure it works in low light and brush."
The salesperson had just told me that I had 7 days to return for a full refund, however I was so irritated with how rude the manger was to me that I left without purchasing. The next day I asked my wife to go and get it for me so I could try it and return it if I didn't like it. She came home with it AND A $ 20 SOMETHING EXTRA CHRARGE. I was told it could be returned within 7 days for a refund as was their policy on all items. We called the store and they wanted to know who told me that I could return it up to 7 days? I don't know the kid's name. They said well there's nothing we can do. The manager told my wife" I was in the store the day before and overheard a customer talking to a salesperson about the scope and I never heard the salesman tell him he could get his money back up to 7 days, LIKE I WAS LYING!
I Have been going there for years. now all of a sudden the return policy is different I guess, you have to pay to test something and if it doesn't work, THEY KEEP YOUR $.
Now if I managed a store, I would tell a long time customer
"Sorry sir, our policy has recently changed, we will refund your $ because our employee failed to make you aware of that" (in fact he actually told me in no uncertain terms that it was 7 days no charge)
I have been shopping here for about a year now. Lines are long and nobody wants to help paying customers. They expect you to wait 30 minutes to purchase one item. There new strategy is to have an employee standing at a podium in the front of the store not helping anyone. I am done wasting my time on this sorry excuse for a store.
I have been shopping at other cash america pawn shops, and have had great experiences. This one is awful, they ignore you when you are trying to look at something behind the counter. The lines weren't even long this time, but I still got ignored. 5 people on sales floor, 4 customers total, and no knowledge that I existed.
I shop Cash Americas from Mr. Vernon to Renton and Marysville is by far the worst place to buy from. The lines are long and don't move because every worker is processing loans and you can easily wait more than 30 -40 minutes just to buy DVD. I've never seen counter people who are sooooo slow and chatty when there are long lines of people just try to give them money. Twice no I've just given up and left without making buying what I wanted. If the store is busy, they need one person who is doing nothing but simple sales so that those customers don't have wait for loans to process. Avoid this store unless you have a lot of time to waste and don't mind wasting it.
We have been shopping here since before it became Cash America. The lines are always long and no one seems in a real hurry to fix that problem but after today I realized this is the least of their problems. My husband recently got a set of 10in Memphis audio subwoofers in a custom embroidered box. He had used some speakers he already had for trade towards the total. He got them home and couldn't hook them up immediately but he knew his friend was looking for a system so he sold the one he was replacing and used the money to buy a German Maestro D1.1000 Amplifier that would work with the subs he had just purchased. He hooked up the new subs and low and behold, one was blown. Do they even check these things when taking them in? If they do, they had to know they sold him crap. When he brought it back in to trade for something comparable, they told him he would only get approx. two thirds back in store credit. It seems to me that if you sell broken junk, whether due to ignorance or failure to follow what I would assume is procedure and check incoming products for faults before putting them out for unsuspecting customers, you should try to make it right when said long time customer feels cheated due to your ineptitude. Ended up with a set that is nowhere near as good and won't work with the new and expensive amp. Absolutely will not be returning to this place. I prefer to buy merchandise that works.
