I attended one child birthing class and never went back. They were trying to sell their child birth services (natural birth, water birth, birth not in a hospital). We were asked to share the reason why we chose to take a birthing class. When I said I was taking the class because I have witnessed child birth and I found it scary and gross and now I am scared to give birth. I explained that I was there to learn more about child birth and find a way to cope with my fear. The "class" ran 20 minutes over while all of the other mothers bashed me for expressing my feelings. The "birthing coach" who was teaching the class did nothing to stop the other mothers from attacking me. She was right along with them. The whole operation lacks professionalism.
Compared to Rideout Hospital, they are a 10. PT 45minutes, RO 4-5 hours for the same service and RO costs 6 times the copay. I wish they would update their hours. It says they're open on Sat/ Sun but are not. Also their phone system needs updating. Call in and recorder says you are 1 in line but are they are closed.
Took my daughter here last year when she broke her arm. After sitting in the waiting rooom for a long time, I asked for some tylenol for my daughter who was in pain. They refused until she saw a Dr. After 45 mintues they told me the Dr. was going to lunch and it would be another 45 minutes before the Dr. would be back. They advised us to take her to the ER. Why they didn't tell me this when we got there, I do not know. They let my daughter sit there in pain for 45 minutes and again refused to give her anything (even tylenol) for the pain, and then sent us to the hospital where there would be another long wait. Very unprofessional in my view!
Not too bad.. Doctors there will work in a pinch.
