Amedisys Home Health Care

Amedisys Home Health has been a Godsend to our family.
After a 5 day stay in the hospital, they were called to do regular nurse visits & physical therapy. The Nurses (all) were excellent and extremely attentive to details. If they saw any problems or discrepancies with medications, they called our Mother’s regular GP to get the last blood counts and get additional medications approved for ongoing problems due to complications in the recovery phase.
Physical Therapy is very helpful & informative about how to regain strength gradually at her pace.
Also, they were able to offer us “In-Home Hospice Care” for our Father, with amazing help from the CNA’s in their duties twice a week and the nurses with their ideas on ways to adjust medications based on their in-home assessment of him that office GP’s and Other Specialists could not understand without being in his everyday environment.
What a true Blessing!!!
Also, they offer pastoral support and Social Workers to assist the family on emotional issues that hospice patients bring to a family and help in assistance in finding other care, if needed.
This organization is run “Top Notch”- which is so very rare to find in the Health Care Industry- “all” of these Heath Care Providers appear to love their job and strive to help the patients to the “very best” of their capabilities.
We are so fortunate to have them working with us.
