Hmm, first off I want to tell you that it is really uncool to air your dirty landry in public, didn't your Mama teach you that?
Did you want a groomer or a social experience? If the groomer looked like a troll and spoke like a drunken sailer, who would care of she were the most loving and proffessional groomer you had ever met? If you want truth, talk to Deanna, if you want somebody to tell you what you want to hear don't talk to her, she comes from truth, I think, and if you can't handle the answer don't ask the question!!
I have had amimals all my adult life, I am Mama to two dogs and a Ferrel cat, and yes Deanna is my groomer. My dogs come home calm, clean and happy. In my opinion, and only mine, Deanna is a strong woman, who must be doing something right because she has had her own business for years, and one can't do that without doing it well and have clients coming back. She is spunkie, fun and full of life, and will call it how she sees it, and if you don't want to hear it don't ask.
I can't say enough good things about her and her shop, without sounding like a stalker!! But I gotta say that if you want a woman that knows what she is doing inside and out and you want your pets coming home happy and clean, then Deanna is the groomer for you. She is the BEST there is out there and she will have my dogs till they die.
Again I gotta say, ask yourself what you want, a great groomer, or somebody telling you what you think you want to hear? We don't all love our dentests, but we keep going back, right? Being friends with Deanna is just the bonus that comes along with her beaing the best groomer. Thank you.
Our experience with Deanna has been mixed. She does seem to work very well with dogs but her interpersonal skills (ie. between humans) leave much to be desired. I was looking for a special person to groom our special dog. This goes without saying. But I also need a groomer who is prepared to provide some degree of service to the dog owner! I found Deanna to be very controlling with regard to appointment scheduling. She was completely unwilling to reschedule when I had to cancel an existing appointment.
I shall continue my search for a groomer who can provide both great grooming skills and customer service to the dog owner.

I am the groomer who did this pup for the first time,I dealt with this pup and her owner with the utmost perfessionalism,I did exactly what I was told(or not!) This pup was by no means ""Short"" in fact long as far as cuts go.I in no way rushed her and went over the different things she had in mind She had no idea and stated she wanted alot of this off refering to the hair( I left it longer then she said too)she rushed off.this is the first time I heard she was unhappy she never called or said anything when she picked up.this is a very young girl who didnt know what she wanted as is evident in her review.all i can say is Honey the big girl thing to do was call me and see what goes in to grooming a new puppy and maybe youd see why it wasnt perfect the first time or talk about why you wernt happy and let me try and fix it.dont leave a bad review you have alot of growing up to do honey.and by the way I would take a crummy haircut anyday if i new my new pup was treated well(as i treated yourbaby)opposed to a perfect hair cut and my pup treated cruelly.Your not welcome back your not a nice person honey grow up!!!your rfeally young

When I arrived to Central Bark I was asked how short I wanted my puppy's hair to be cut. She asked 1/2 or 1/4? I was unsure as to what this meant, but felt that there wasn't time for her to spend with me explaining because there were 3 customers waiting behind me to drop off their dogs. I told her that a 1/2 should be fine?
Upon arrival I didn't even recognize my poor little puppy! He did not look one bit the same to me because his hair was cut soooo short! I'm confused as to why she would cut his hair so short, especially since he is such a small puppy (less than 3 lbs) and it is almost winter! I sure hope he doesn't freeze. I just wish she would've used better judgement rather than listen to what I said, because I had no idea what I was even saying...His cut isn't even what it should be, shape wise, and I don't think I will return.
But I do appreciate the time she spent with him in getting him used to a groomer. Just need to wait a few months for his hair to grow out! Hopefully he doesn't freeze!

This is a great place to get your small dogs groomed. Very personable service. Unlike other places I have been before the same person washes your dogs and grooms them. Deanna the groomer is great with the dogs. The prices are reasonable as well. I am very picky with my pups and would not leave them just anywhere. I have a small three pound yorkie who gets very nervous but doenst mind going to central bark. I would recommend central bark to anyone.
