I went into this store with my mother to purchase diabetic shoes. My mother has Medicare and has been getting her shoes elsewhere without problems for years. We normally get the pair of shoes covered by Medicare plus cash purchase a couple of extra pairs. I delta with the lady that identified herself as the "Store Manager". She basically told me that she couldn't fit my mother with shoes and that we would have to drive to kenner where her shoe "Expert" works. She would not even let us buy a pair of shoes without going to kenner. While we were there 2 other people came in and got shoes and 1 person was measured for shoes by another employee. When I enquired as to why they didn't have to go to the "Expert" in kenner, Thus so called manager came unglued. She said that we could go elsewhere if we were not happy with her operating procedures. She said they can't fit Diabetics with bunions and that we should just go back to the place we used to get out supplies from. I will be writing a letter to people's health about this. This lady was rude and seems to have a inflated sense of self worth. She managed to aggrievate several other customers. The whole staff seemed to be more interested in talking bad about someone named Ricky. Also, I was looking at CPAP mask (I use a CPAP) the respiratory guy that was showing me mask smelled of alcohol and seemed a little out of it. Avoid this place at all cost!!!! I went back to Cantilever to get the shoes. They are at least willing to help you in there store!!!

I love the home delivery service. I appreciate a courtesy call to remind me that meds need to be refilled and see if I am ready for the new order to be delivered. Great! A+
When my Dad brought in his medicare card to ask if his urinary incontinence supplies were covered, Duramed personnel advised him that they were not. They did not even offer to file a claim with medicare. Just said "No," so he started paying out of pocket for the supplies and this went on for several months. I went in their store to pick up much needed supplies and asked if they were covered by medicare myself just to make sure that there was no misunderstanding with my elderly father. I was told No also. After speaking with the manufacturer to see if the supplies were sold anywhere online, I was told that 35 per month were covered by medicare and they referred me to NationalRehab.com. Needless to say, we were lied to by 2 different Duramed people. Buyer be ware! Shame on you for deceiving elderly people that trusted you and are on a fixed income.
