Services/Products
Preschool Readiness - 2 1/2 years of age to 3 years - Children in this group are introduced to a bit more structure within the routine of their day, and to participate in some of our more exciting preschool experiences. Preschool-readiness children play and explore while being provided with structured time periods for small group time, story time, and project. Children are encouraged to practice individual skills for their routines (put their lunch plate away, use the potty, wash own hands, etc) and they are encouraged to practice skills appreciated by the community (picking up, helping a friend). Children are placed with a primary caregiver. Caregivers train annually in early childhood development, CPR and first aid. The ratio is 1:8. Child-Centered Preschool Programs - 3 years through 5 years - Mister McGregor's offers both half day and full day preschool experiences. Recent brain research emphasizes the importance of forming patterns and helping children understand the co nnections to learning. Patterning information means organizing and associating new information with previously developed mental hooks. Using a theme-based curriculum children and their teachers explore ideas and topics in many different ways, often expanding on the children's culture, environment or shared experiences. Our program integrates literacy, social studies, math, music, and art. There are daily opportunities for sensory, open-ended art, free-play, and an expansive child-friendly playground.

Overall
Best daycare experienced!!

My daughter was enrolled at mister mcgregors back in 2005-2006 and I was even employed there for a period of that time and have to say this is by far the best daycare I have ever experienced!! I have checked out many for potential childcare for my daughter as well as worked at one downstate and it's simply a nightmare to see the things I've seen. It would be a blessing to have more centers like mister mcgregors around especially downstate!! They are amazing and I'd recommend them any day!!!! Thanks for being so amazing to the ones who matter

Most- the children!!!

Overall
Friendly Staff

We used their services for a family medical emergency. They were so friendly and took my son in as if he'd been there forever. I called many times to check on him and they were very pleasant every time. They told me all about his day and what they did together. I would definitely use them again. Hopefully the next time will be for something more pleasant like a day of shopping. Thank you, ladies!
