Chocolay Shores Apartments

Great location, horrible landlord. I'm pretty sure they violate multiple laws regarding security deposit and clauses within the lease. I gave my 30 day notice in writing and by phone in June to both Darlene and Charlie. She didn't correspond appropriately with, whether she "wasn't available to talk/listen at the time" wasn't going to "be in the office for a few days" or was "sick for a week". They charged 690 for security deposit which is over the legal limit to begin with. Darene also back dated the list of damages for July 16 when she said she sent it out on the 20th. How convenient that today is the 23rd of July and she's not in the office for a few days. She charged an upfront cleaning fee of 150 then tacked on a $50 damages/cleaning fee and stated I didn't provide notice of leaving. She's not very organized and obviously has many skills and no regrets about ripping people off. See you in Small claims court!
