I stopped into the store to simply ask a few questions. To my surprise I thought that I was going to get the run around like several other shops that I stopped in over the past week to get an answer about my older pellet stove. After spending a good amount of time speaking with the guy I knew what I was getting into and decided to have a tech come out. They dispatched a service tech to my house within a few days and the tech was very thorough. After he was complete the unit looked brand new and it seemed like it worked better than the first day that I purchased it. Very happy that I stopped into this establishment and wished that I purchased from them originally, I guarantee my next purchase will be at SUPERIOR!

I went to Marlborough CT Superior Hearth and Spa to purchase a Jotul gas logs freestanding fireplace and install. I spent over 3500.00 that day, paid in full for stove, hook up installation and piping. They said it would take a few weeks. We had also ordered and paid for at the same time the light kit, blower and remote. They came to install stove and pretty much hacked it into my house and didn't paint the pipe ,the alignment of the pipe to the wall outlet is terrible. They were hear about 1 hour and gone. The outside where it goes to the vinyl siding looks terrible. They never mentioned anything about painting the pipe or all the added features until I asked and they said they were back ordered and would have to come back to finish. They have not called us for weeks, I had kept calling till they came out while the babysitter was here to install added features. They never painted pipe or put a trim piece on wall piece. Still another week went by and haven't heard when they will be finish painting the pipe or have a trim piece for the 12 inch square plate they screwed to my wall. I would not reccomend this place to anyone. I even had their own gas company hook it up and the guy from the company said wow, who hooked this up it looks terrible. If anyone would like pictures to see this diaster leave me a message I will be happy to show the truth. So all in all I spent about 4700.00 with them and the only thing that looks good is the gas line. Then when they came to hook up gas they wanted me to pay a 129.00 for start up which was never mentioned and they didnt use a piece of pipe that they estimated in original work order and was already paid for, so I had to fight to not have to pay for the start up when the adjustable wall pipe cost more then start up. WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS AGAIN. BEWARE
