Dr. Philips is amazing, but so are the rest of the doctors and midwives. I have been coming here for years, and they have always been pleasant, efficient, and friendly.

I guess its a matter of opinion then, because when I went to Dr. Sutherlands NP, she prescribed the wrong medicine for me that was meant for another patient and I had actually already started taking the medication before she realized she screwed up. I was very unhappy with the service she gave me, she showed no concern, and didnt even apologize for the screw up. I could have died or been allergic to the medication. Dr. Sutherland was actually the one that straightened out the situation, diagnosed my problem, and asked them to reimbursed me for the charges for the poor service I received from her. I still havent gotten my reimbursement for the copay, which im still waiting for. If anything the office staff sucks big time. No customer service. Dr. Sutherland is the only reason I would go back to this office again.

I've been seeing Dr. Sutherland for over 15 years now. If I had anything but my routine visits every year I don't think I would go to him. He's not very friendly and never knows what's going on. I recently saw his NP, and I will see her from now on. Immediately she put me at ease with her warm smile. It was the best experience ever. For her I will continue to go there.

Despite what the last reviewer said, I thoroughly enjoyed coming here during my pregnancy. All of the doctors and midwives were very friendly. They always explained everything they were about to do. The sonographers are great, as well. The midwife who delivered my daughter kept everything VERY calm in the delivery room. I would recommend this practice to everyone. They accept Medicaid, as well. I know it's hard to find a doctor that takes it :-)

Do NOT use this practice!!! On 6/9 I had my first OB appointment. Two weeks later the billing department called to explain the $750 bill they were sending, $500 of which was the deductible. I paid the bill and my check was cashed on 6/25. Coincidentally, that same day I was suffering from severe neck pain and called the office to ask about seeking chiropractic care. After three phone calls from a nurse and having never spoken to the doctor, I was instructed to go to the ER to be tested for meningitis. I argued that I didn't have a fever and didn't think it was meningitis but they scared me into going, saying I couldn't put my baby at risk. Just like I thought, I didn't have meningitis. Fast forward a couple weeks and my insurance is stating that I owe the ER bill because I hadn't met my deductible. I argued that I had and after dozens of calls to this practice and my insurance provider, it was finally communicated to me that Kennestone OBGYN shouldn't have billed me and they owed me a refund. I learned today that it will be 9/27 that I'll get the refund - at the earliest. Yes, 3 months later. My new OB (the doctor, not a nurse) always calls me back within an hour and that office actually checked my insurance before sending out any bills. I strongly urge anyone considering this practice to find another provider.
