Overall

7 REASONS FOR STEERING CLEAR OF THIS PLACE

1) Rude managers

2) No warm showers during “rush hours”

3) Bugs

4) Slow internet

5) TV stations going off at 11pm because they refuse to subscribe for standard services,

6) Rooms are not within an enclosed building, thus anyone can come from anywhere and knock on your door without going through the receptionist

7) Fridges that may not be working, may be actually disgustingly gross to look at, and may not get cold at all

DETAILS

So, I checked in during the early hours of Monday at the Country Hearth Inn on 2767 Windy Hill Rd Se, Marietta, GA, 30067. I was reluctant to check in because the area at the motel did not have that feeling of a safe neighborhood, and I had talked to a few people working at the nearby grocery stations about their honest opinion of that motel, and all they told me was negative. I should have listened to them, but it was so late at night, and I did not know of any other motels in the area, so I was in a hard position. But before I signed up and paid the $995 for 6weeks, I spoke to the African-American man at the receptionist desk who told me that if I wanted to leave in a week, I will just have to be refunded $195 less the amount that I had paid for 6weeks, since the weekly rate was $195. And my total refund will be $800.

Then, I moved into the room at 1am on Monday. I noticed bugs in there, the fridge was not properly working, there was mold and rust behind the fridge which grossed me out (pictures attached), and the next morning I noticed that I could not take a warm shower. The water was fringing cold, when I complained about no hot water in the shower, the response I got from the Indian dude (who happens to co-own the property with his mother) was that there is just one boiler in the entire block, and if I want a hot shower, I will have to go take a shower “after rush hours”. Well, I could not get to shower during my horrific 2 day stay there; I had to go to some old friend’s apartment to get a shower each time.

So, on Wednesday, I got fed up dealing with the bugs, shower problem, fridge, TV stations going off early at 11pm, and I went to the front desk and spoke with “Ansh”, and he was the nastiest person you could ever come across with.

Well, suddenly he and that woman told me that they wanted me out of their motel in 20minutes. Yes!!! 20 minutes!!! I was like whattttttt??? Even though I was eager to move out, but I did not say I wanted to leave in 20minutes, that it was the next Sunday. But regardless, they told me they wanted me to leave, since I wanted to get the money I had paid less $195 according to their co-worker, and I had complained too much about the room.

So, I walked back to my room, got a couple of phone calls from them, but I refused to pick up, since I did not want to get further upset, since these people were all out to manipulate and wrongly obtain as much money as they could. Anyway, the woman comes in to my room (with an elderly man), knocks on the door, and says that she wanted to give me a deal, I told her that I will NOT be bribed, and that I was still going to report my nasty encounter. She then got upset and told me that she was not making any “deal with me” anymore, and I had 20minutes to leave or she will call the cops. I actually wanted the cops to come and see the rooms, well they did come and they did hear my view point too. One of the cops later told me this, “What do you expect at a place like this”? That he was not surprised to hear about my situation about the bugs, cold showers, TV stations going off, and fridge being messed up. He was so respectful and professional (unlike the motel staff), and the cop advised me to just go find some place elsewhere (I strongly advise you to take the advice of the cop too).
