Where do I begin?? The food is good, especially the Mongolian Beef, which is why I am giving it 3 Stars instead of 4 or 5. The rest of the downgraded score stems from the dine in experiences we have had over the last year or so. We have gone multiple times, mostly weekends and week nights as our work schedules do not permit other times. EVERY time we go in we are never greeted with a smile or a hello as we are always waited on by 2 children that are unfriendly, rude, and act as if they would rather die or eat poison than to be there WORKING. Always slumping or laying down in the back booth watching TV and cringe every time the door opens and a customer comes in because they know they will have to assist them. I get it teach your children the business, but I assure you, it's not working as they literally act like they HATE being there and are FORCED to help you. I can honestly say, they very clearly SHOW it's NOT what they want to do. It makes for a very unpleasant experience and we really have limited our visits due to this. We have seen Cindy a few times and she is very pleasant and personable, but constantly has to fuss with the children to do things the WHOLE time we are there. The kids are always grumpy or tired and hardly ever say "thank you" or "you're welcome", no matter HOW many times you say it first. Or if they do, it's not audible with the human ear. So one might ask, then WHY do you go in? Why not just order to go or for pick up? Tried that and wasn't pleased with the excessive amounts of liquid that are in the boxes on our favorite dishes, and we prefer to go in and eat when we have Chinese food. It is a personal choice to go there and I get that, but I wanted to at least prepare others for what they may and most likely will encounter if they choose to dine in.
Whether we eat in or we have them deliver, the food is always amazing! They also have the best sweet sauce ever!
I just moved to Marietta from California and I live literally walking distance from them. But their delivery is so fast and the food is delicious....I call them all the time2thumbs up China Star of Marietta, GA!
I love House of Lu III. It is so close to my home-- so I do takeout often. Always fresh, hot and good portions. Pu Pu Platter is awesome! :-D
Great Food! Have been doing take out for many year's! :-) Love the Pu Pu platter the best. They put more items on platter's compared to other Chinese Restaurants. All their soups are great!
This was the absolute worst delivery experience EVER. We ordered from there once before and it was decent. This time they were almost an hour late and didn't even come until Grubhub called them. The delivery driver was rude on phone and hung up on us twice. He then told us he didn't want to come into gate and to leave our apartment to meet him. He hung up again when we did not agree. It was so late and we were told by grubhub that they would come get food tomorrow and contact restaurant to process a refund (which never happened after multiple calls). I tried the dumplings for Lunch a couple days later and there were bones in them! I called grubhub again and they reached out to the restaurant. There was no manager there and was told to call back at 12 the next day. Grubhub called and they were told the restaurant would not refund and to call them. I called twice and the lady up front was very rude and told me she did not have time to help me and that the manager would call tomorrow. three days later, no call. So I called again and was treated extremely rude again and she told me that the manager knew and did not want to talk to me. Finally she gave me number to him and he yelled at me. He told me to quit calling and that he refused to speak to me or help me. After explaining my story again, he insisted I was making everything up to get free food and that I am a big fat liar. He told me they buy their dumplings from someone else and reheat them, but it was not possible they had bones (I have pics to prove it). He told me how dare I tip low and that's why they treated me that way. Since I was so cheap, I deserved awful treatment. I have planned to tip extra in cash, but since the tip wasn't earned, I never got to do this. He was literally YELLING at me. I certainly will never order from here ever again. Also, the chicken soup and beer teriyaki are absolutely disgusting. If I could give negative stars I would.
Great place to eat outside and relax in the Square. My kids love the fish and chips. My husband and I enjoy the mahi sandwiches. The inside is a bar and kids are not allowed, so this definitely a “good weather day” restaurant if you’re going with the kids. Since it’s near the train tracks, you might also catch the train going by, which is always fun for the kids.
I went for an interview and was told I had the job I just had to come in and work for free 4 hours total then I would start the training process I never got any response phone call of any sort I called them and they said that they found other people that were more fit for the job. Dave the owner seem to think that I would be a wonderful fit. The waitresses that work there act as if they are still in high school gossiping about one another and going into one another's lockers. I would never treat a potential employee in this manner at least give me the respect to call me and tell me that I was not hired because this all came from the immature waitresses and managers, I would certainly love to speak with the owner and get more insight as to why I was made to work for 4 hours for absolutely no reason whatsoever. I have read a lot of negative reviews about this place so I should have known better. Heads up for anyone that considers applying at this establishment.
Ordered for delivery last nite and it was prompt(even early) Very good hot/sour soup, brazed wings and excellent hunan triple. No mor New Lucky China!
