I sat outside Mark Nickolas’s office sobbing, nervous, confused how my life had come to a point of complete sadness and self doubt. I’ll never forgot our first session. I told him how I had doubts on whether or not I was even capable of feeling happy again. I am not sure I would have survived that year in Marblehead if I hadn’t met Mark Nickolas. His guidance and understanding.. it means the world to me. A year later, in another city I will look back on the assignments he gave me. The tools he shared with me are something I’ll use forever.

Mark is the first counselor that I have been really able to see real change with. I've only been working with him for 3 months and have seen tangible results with goals for myself and relationships with others. He has been the first person to really get me and understand me before I even knew. I feel more full of myself in a good way than ever before.

Mark has cultivated a wonderful combination of empathetic, non-judgmental listening, impressive psychological knowledge, and a disarming, gentle directness in his advice. I recommend him highly to anyone who needs or wants assistance or support from a mental health professional.

Dr. Mark Nickolas has been a wonderful therapist. I felt at ease with him immediately, and he instills trust immediately. He is a great listener, very thoughtful with his approach and words, respectful at all times, open-minded to situations, solutions, and ideas, and overall, an inspiring and motivating individual to work with. I highly recommend him for anyone that would like to improve their mental health and/or hear another's perspective on any situation. I've found time spent rewarding.

Mark Nickolas is one of the first counselor I can honestly say can help! I've seen marriage counselors before and none seem to help. We would not get any benefit from them and nothing would change. With Mark, he helps my husband and I and works with us on the how to improve and make life better. His ways of working is like no other and he truly cares and can make a difference in the marriage, each individual person and family.
