Very friendly, Truck was ready for pick up as scheduled. Will definetly rent from them again. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Entire rental process was fast. Courteous pick up and drop off.

I rented Friday for what I thought would be a short 3 day period. I needed the rental 2 more days. The Rep David was courteous, and expedited the process of picking up the car and was there for a fast drop off!

My latest experience with Enterprise in Maplewood, NJ on Millburn Avenue was extremely poor. I was given a rental car in very poor condition and meticulously noted the damage on the vehicle as the agent took me to review the car. The agent responded to many of the things I pointed out with "Oh, we wouldn't hold you responsible for that." I was under the impression that everything I pointed out was either negligible or was noted on the contract, so I signed it. Upon return of the vehicle, I was given a call that I was being held responsible for the damage. I immediately drove back over to the establishment and was met with extreme rudeness by one employee in particular. I am so upset that I did not get his name, but he did nothing but smirk at me as I explained my side of events. Apparently, the contact was marked as "no damage", which was utterly unbelievable after all I had pointed out. I was even told by this rude employee, "We would never rent a car out in this condition."

Well--you did. I called the damage and recovery center and was told that the damage I was being accused of causing had been noted on prior contracts, so it was pre-existing.

The manager of this office and the young man who did my original contract were not particularly helpful, but at least they were not downright rude. They certainly could have looked up prior contracts when I pleaded over and over again that I had noted all this damage upon renting the vehicle. At this point, I think I am most upset that no one in the office has had the decency to apologize to me. I have been calling them repeatedly because they are still holding on to my security deposit (claiming it is being processed for return) and everyone who takes my calls knows of my situation and yet no one has bothered to apologize for the negligent way my contract was done or for the way I was treated.

I will never rent a car from any Enterprise again, nor will the countless friends and family members I have told this story to. Customer service goes a long way and I think I would have a truly different experience to write about had someone at the company called to apologize.

Bottom line: Use another company or another office. Also--read the contract very carefully before you sign and do not trust that the agent is recording what you are saying. I will also be taking pictures of damage before I drive the car off the lot before I ever rent a car again.
