saw an ad in a Norton paper and the price above the picture of the "all you can eat" clam plate said $12.00 per person with the purchase of a beverage. Since clams are usually not within our budget, we jumped at the offer. Got there around 5:30 p.m. and it was almost empty. *that should have been a red flag* Our server came right over and took our order. Got the clams and they were tiny with less than zero flavor but I guess you get what you pay for, The fries and cole slaw were the best part of the meal. There were a ton of clams so we didn't get more and when we got the bill it was for almost $50. There were only two of us! I showed the server the ad as I had brought it with me. She said "oh I know it looks like they are $12 but it's really $18.99 each so do you want to talk to the manager". We waited at least ten minutes for the "manager" the least professional person I've ever seen and she was talking about no profit margin at $12 (by the way, the Sarro's own the package store right by Fresh catch so their "profit margin" is extremely healthy! I explained that the ad was totally deceptive and I did not intend to pay almost $50 for a sub par meal. She said she had to talk to the owner....more waiting. She came back and said they would adjust the price "this time" but next week it will be $18.99. Wellll....it was false advertising to begin with and I really don't care what the price is next week. The clams were not good and I wouldn't go back again if they were free.
Fish was very spoiled, the steamers look like they passed away a month ago.
They put lobsters in a bag out back and try to not let you look at them! One had a decaying black claw and muscles living all over it! The other was dead.
Terrible
I am sad that there are no good seafood markets by me ans that I have to drive to New Bedford for real fresh fish. The Fresh Catch is anything but fresh, Stop and Shop fish is far fresher!
Fresh Catch sells fish that has spoiled and smells of chlorine bleach!
The kitchen is filthy and the seafood display has dead shellfish and fish that looks like it is rotting in the case!
I had gone to Fresh Catch for years however in the past 6 or eight months things have quickly gone down hill. I went there to purchase lobsters and steamers. going to the fish counter and looking at the steamers, a number of them had the shells open and the necks out. I told the clerk that the clams were dead and I did not want those. I forced him to hand pick the clams and I was happy since they seemed to be alive. The clerk did not care that there were dead clams and sold them to another customer who came in for a couple of pounds. I had no other option since guests were coming and looking forward to lobster and steamers. I requested two lobsters which were given to me. I should have looked at them since BOTH were dead when I got them home.
last two times take out was all wrong an then last night we got two lobster macs one was alright the other was rancide stunk
Disgusting
The kitchen is filthy

Provided by CitysearchThe experience with Fresh Catch did not start off great. We were supposed to go to their location in Easton, but when I called there to ask about their lobster special and if I could order their lobster tails as a meal, I was told they did not have a cook. Huh? What do you mean you don't have a cook? The female on the phone was young but I figured maybe the cook called in sick? Cold dishes only?
I tried to go to their website but the site was down due to bandwidth being exceeded. No help there.
I called their location in Mansfield and made reservations. I asked about their lobster special which was twins for $18.99, and I asked if I came with a group of six, would it be alright if I ordered lobster tails as an entree as I knew they sell them as an add on usually. I was told no problem.
We get to the restaurant at 6:00 and we're promptly seated. Our waitress took our drink order, left us cornbread, and soon returned with our drinks. She took our order which included a Swordfish entree, two orders of twin lobsters, a fish and chips, and seven lobster tails between my dad and I. Six people, four entrees. (Over $125 in food, with tax and a 20% gratuity they added, came to $166.)
The waitress began telling us that we needed to have an entree for each of us to get the lobster tails. I told her I had called and been told I did not have to. She said ok.
Soon a man came to our table and told us we needed to buy an entree to get the tails. I told him his staff had told me differently. He insisted, but not in a nice way. I said that I would be reviewing his restaurant on Yelp and other sites and let people know how we were being treated. Belligerently, he said he was the owner, his name is Bill Sarrow, that's the way it is and don't threaten him. He did not care that his staff had told me differently. Paraphrasing, he said they are kids, they don't know. When half of our party became heated, I got up to walk to the car and wait for my party to eat. My aunt who was more level headed than me sat me down and told him to add on the least expensive entree he had to to make us ""comply.""
Well, the food arrived. Everyone enjoyed their meal. My lobster tails were awesome. Oh, and so was my grilled cheese sandwich with fries, my three dollar kids meal Bill Sarrow in his infinite wisdom added as my entree. Over $3.00, this pompous restaurateur risked alienating us, which he did a good job of, and fueled this review.
Next time, if there is one, I'll know to order the children's grilled cheese, and all the lobster tails I want.
Bill Sarrow, your food is very good, but you sir are a peach.
