Overall

I have been here several times. The food is always consistent and always delicious. The servers are friendly and the service is great. I have been there both during lunch and supper hours.

I would consider it high end dining, but it is well worth the price.

I have heard of the pub for ye...

I have heard of the pub for years and never had been there before. this was my first time dining on a saturday night with reservations at 7pm. first at the bar I orderd a simple drink, southern comfort/sour..... came as a staight glass of sour. then the bar tender took it back and poured a shot of southern comfort on top the sour, not professional at all. we seated at 7 to have dinner and waited and waited and waited. then the waitress came and asked if we liked some drinks , once again, waited, waited, waited. then she brought our drinks minus a simple bottle of beer for one of us and again reminded her about the beer and then again, waited, waited, waited. finally after ordering our meal we finally was able to eat at 9:20 thats right, 9:20 before we were serverd our meal. then going to pay for it I would have thought being a class act pub I wouldnt see extra items on my bill, other drinks we didnt have, an extra meal we didnt have that I didnt even order more less not even on our table. good thing I looked closely at my bill or I never wouldnt have seen them. wonder how this could happen and how many times this happened to other people that never caught it. the food was OK in value and very much over priced. when paying the person at her post never even asked how our diner was etc. the service just plained bad and being seated at 7 and eating at 9:20 is tasteless for an over priced upscale pub. I will never, never go back again. was hoping for a better review.

Really how much can you charge for food and bad service

We wanted to try going there several times. You walk in there is no one there and the girl says oh if you don't have a reservation it will be a while. There is no one there are you trying to make your selves look great. That is a true sign that they are way toooo good. So we finally get to eat there and the prices were a complete shock. Was I in Chicago or Manitowoc. The presentaion was great the taste was nothing great I could tell that the chef there must enjoy their microwave way too much. Then this guy walks around to show that he is clearly the owner, talking to the few people there that he knew. This made me and my daughter so uncomfortable and unwelcomed. I would recommend this place for showing off, for sure not for good food or relaxing. Really how much should you pay for a glass of wine. Truly not to be repeated, Please stop trying to make soup you are embarassing your self. For the prices they are charging there is nothiong that made me feel like I had not wasted my money and time.

I am very sorry that you did not enjoy your experience at the Pub. It often happens, esp. on weekends, that the house is fully booked before a downtown event, and the tables are empty awaiting these guests. Trust me, if there is an open table we want to fill it! We are not trying to look good. If you will please compare our prices with both local and chain restaurants in the area, you will find that our prices are comparable. Our wine list is generally a buck or two above some places because our wines are all rated 85 or better in Wine Spectator. Our rail drinks are in the $3.50 range and beers are $3.45. Pretty competitive - even in Manitowoc. I was the guy walking around. I do it each evening about every 20 minutes so that I can hit every table after they receive their entree. My goal is to make sure our guests enjoy their food. I am sorry I missed your table -- it happens -- but I would have liked to talk with you and learn of your displease. Again, trust me, I am not trying to show off. I am part of the Pub crew and we try very hard to make our guests comfortable and pleased with their visit. You note says you will not return. Should you change your mind, please ask for me - my name is John - and we will do our best to make this visit a great experience.

Excellent food

Have never had a bad meal at the Courthouse. The prices are a little high in comparison to the local restaurants, but the quality is there to back it up. Love the steaks!

We'll be back!

As two couples we have taken the ferry Badger out of Ludington, Mi to Manitowoc, Wi for a mini vacation for the last few years. After visiting Door County we came back to our room at the Best Western Waterfront where we have always had a clean room with a very helpful staff. The Courthouse Pub was one of the best experiences we all had ever had! Great food, a wait staff that didn't smother you,but took care of every need. Food was excellent! I'm looking forward to our meal in just a couple of weeks!
