My child has attended Falling Star for the past three years and honestly, she LOVES going to daycare every day. She loves her teachers and the director is the best! They do many different activities and at 3 1/2 my daughter (whose name is 9 letters long) can recognize her name and spell it without help! She knows all her letters and numbers up to 10 and has known all of her colors and shapes since she was 2. I will always think of this daycare as a second family!
I am truly sorry that a disgruntled customer would post this. We are going to court because of ten weeks of no payment with all excuses. In rebutle to all the comments she made... Yes, as many of you know remodling doesn't happen over night! The rooms have been up and operational since the beginning of the year. I love all the teachers we hire. It takes a while to find the right teacher who will be a fit for the center and the ones we have are great! I am very proud of the employees and the dedication they have. The average experience of the teachers in the center is 15 years.Yes, we do watch a movie on Tuesday's that is theme related to the subjects of the week. We are Young Star approved so we have to follow all the State Guidelines.I am the director and owner whose hours are from 5:30 am to around 4pm. If she wanted to get a hold of me, my personal phone number is available to all parents. I personally see 79% of the parents at drop off. I don't want to be mean but she has been at three days in 4 months. That's not a good sign.
DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS HERE.My child started here right after they opened and the director, Stacy Schweppe, made all these promises on a finished basement for the older kids, more teachers, more activities and the entire time he was there we saw no change. Many times I picked him up and the director was nowhere to be found and the entire daycare was in disarray. There were many state guidelines that weren't be followed. Stacy constantly had those children parked in front of the television. My son started dreading his days there and that was part of the reason I removed him from the daycare. This place is a JOKE and I don't expect it to last much longer. On a more personal note, the director is a heartless human being. I was diagnosed with cancer a few weeks ago-right around the time my last bill was due- I told her this and I would get back to her. She called me during my in hospitalization chemotherapy treatment threatening to take me to collections if she 'didn't get her money' from me. She then proceeded to call everyone else on my pick up list demanding "her money." This place is highly unprofessional and I WOULD AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS!
Shawn has been watching my daughters for around a year and a half. She is really great! We are very picky about who is with our children and I definitely trust her with my girls. She cares for the children like they are her family. She is a great cook and makes very healthy meals that the kids love to eat. She takes them for walks and weather permitting to the art museum for art classes and play groups. She is a licensed daycare, so she meets all the requirements for the state so you know that she has a safe facility. I have recommended her to many people and would definitely recommend her to friends and family.
