I have rented the same apt from wsrm inc for just over two years. My first apt, and I thought it all started out good. Charged rent, security deposit (same as rent) and $100 cleaning fee for first month. I told them I wouldn't mind justcleaning it myself and saving a little money. No they still charged me. I had issues with leaking sink, the old fashioned gas heater gave off a horrible smell, the shower flooded and the main light in my bedroom wouldn't work. . Told nikki and rose marie, said a maintenance man would come fix it.. never did. Never called. I just dealt with the issue. So a year goes by, nikki comes to check out the apt and renew my lease. Asks about stains on the carpet, I tell her they were all ready there.. as noted in my damage sheet when I first moved in. She didnt take pictures or anything, ask if th eres maintenance to be done, I mention the list above to her again, says a maintenance guy will come by..he never did. So we renew my lease with no damages noticed by her. Skip ahead, im giving my 30 day notice, in the letter I ask that I get a phone call confirming they have recieved the letter and I also mention to them that I have a professional carpet cleaner I will be using on the apartment, that I have caused no damage, and that there are still the same maintenance issues, the carpet still has permanent stains and so on. I never got a phone call or any form of contact I had so nicely requested. So im moved out, I sweep and mop the hard floors and carpet cleaned all the carpeting, removing alot of dirt that was built up. I left leaving them with a better microwave that actually worked and a newer broom/ dustpan and a toilet bowl brush. I call about a week later asking for my refund, she tells me they have to wait 30 days before they can give it to me. So I just got my refund in the mail, thinking im going to get 300-350 back. Practically the full amount. Nope. $153 and change. They are charging me 100 for carpet cleaning and general cleaning, even though they only had to do the counters stove and fridge. . Which I cleaned less than a month before. They are charging me for new blinds, new screens for the windows, ' materials'?? And 125 for labor. Your kidding me right? The blinds I have never used and were broke to begin with, the screens had holes and slits in them to begin with, I had taken them out, stored them nicely in the closet and put my ac and window fans in the windows.. I had never touched them again. So for this bs deposit return, I feel very used and abused. I suggest if you decide to use this greedy lying rental team that you take pictures and document Everything. I will never use them again and nor will I ever recommend them. They screwed me out of money. I cant imagine they would do any less to you.
