Merrimack Valley Roofing & Gutters

Terrible! Better Business gives them an "F" and for good reason. They quoted gutters for my wrap-around porch promptly and showed up on time but their workmanship, business ethic, and service is the worst. Gutter installation should be simple right? After installation, water dripped down between the fascia and gutter just like the gutters were not even there. Apparently they failed to take the shallow roof slope into account.

One section was twisted lengthwise over 25 feet; it looked horrible. They failed to direct water away from the house and a 12" deep hole resulted below the discharge next to the foundation. I don't mind honest mistakes but the owner, Barry James (Barry Billcliff is his real name. ...a web search will reveal an interesting past), refused to address these issues stating liability and "not our fault" reasons. Do not be fooled by their web site. This is a small two-three guy operation listing multiple addresses and under several names like "Andover Roofing". If you do hire these jokers, do not pay until you are completely satisfied; i.e. for gutters/roof test with a hose. or better yet wait for a good rain storm. At this point I do not want them back on my property. I will find someone qualified to fix their mess.

Never showed up for the appointment. When I called I was told that someone should be there by the end of the day and no one came. I then asked to be put on their schedule for the next day and no one showed on that day either.

Great company. I needed some roof repairs, gutter cleaningand relacement. Surprised to find some honest guys in the industry, ans I appreciate that they know what they're doing, get it done without a hassle, without hassling ME. All done in a day, no complaining about the proce--probably because I was happy not to be bothered with a million additional problems, no one down my throat selling me more stuff. They showed me a few extra things that were necessary, but I trust them, and like I said they know what they're doin.

Best value I have seen from contractors in a long time. I felt the price was fair, and didn't o up and up and up during the job. I feel good about the quality of work, they redid my whole roof, and some siding fixes. The place was cleaned up, and I got a follow up call a week later to make sure that I was satisfied...who does that?! I will surely call them back if I need anything else.

This company came through for me and I am so grateful!!! I had my in-laws coming in to visit and see our new addition, and 2 days before we had rain all day and there was a leak...in the brand new roof. I called my GC who said he would get the roofers over here ASAP, the next day no answer, the leak was getting worse, it kept raiining, now the damage was extremely noticebale and it was in the GUEST Bedroom, where we were putting my husband's parents. I tried calling the roofer directly, nothing. Finally the morning of I had 12 hours to get it fixed, I called these guys, they said they could do it. I prepared myself for more disappointment, but Bam! They came 2 hours after I called, had it repaired and took care of the damaged aesthetics. I was saved! Muchas Muchas Gracias!!!

The most bang for your buck. I didn't pay out the a$$ for very good quality work, which is always a nice feeling! Releaded the chimney, gutters and gutter guards all done quickly, and done the right way. It's been months and they still look and work just fine. I was on yp reviewing another company, and figured this crew earned my support. Try them out, I doubt you will be disappointed, they are a good group.

Wow, judging by how many reviews there are on the web about this company, they've done a good job for quite a few people. I like locally owned and operated companies, I think that it's one of the best ways to stimualte the economy that you're a part of. I thought they knew what they were doing, and I felt safe and reassured. Roof and new gutters looks great, passed the wife-approval, so I can't complain!

First time homeowner, first time seeking and choosing a roofer for a repair, I def wanted to make sure I picked the right guys. They were sortof middle of the road with pricing, and I heard good things from a neighbor and online, and I feel like the guys who are always the cheapest usually aren't the best. They were awesome. Quick, blends with in with the original shingles, complete clean up. I'm very happy.

I heard about these guys from a coworker, who had heard from a neighbor, so word of mouth seems to be their best form of advertisment--which I personally find more reliable. I figured I'd spread the word too, this local company deserves my priases. I called them the same day someone recommended them after I had been compaining at my cube about our leaky roof after the Halloween storm. I though "No Way will they be out any time soon" because there was it seemed a lot of companies took a holiday because they didn't have power like everyone else. However, they were there the next day. 3 hours, done, looked great, did the minor touch ups on the interior. Boom, roof fixed before the power was! These guys have their stuff together! I know of several ofher people who used them that same cou[le of days, all had praises as well.

To anyone looking for a roof repair--this is the place to call. We had a very easy time getting in touch, getting an estimate, explanation of the itemized charges, different options, and someone to explain which ones may be best for us. Not at one time did I ever feel uneasy, it was all fast and painless. We haven't had a reason to use the workmanship guarantee, but feel good knowing we can call them to come back if there are any problems with the repair. I'd say go for it!

Use them almost every year. I have 3 properties, and between my rentals and my home residence, quite a few things pop up throughout the year with roof leaks, or rips, or siding issues, ice dams etc. I called them when another company failed to show up, and I was pleasantly surprised how quickly a man named Barry was at my door, with a friendly disposition and an eagerness to help me. I've yet to have any complaints, so I would have to recommend Merrimack Valley to anybody out there looking for a positive experience.

I have owned my home for over 20 years, and as such have had to hire quite a few contracting companies for any work that was outside my handyman abilities. I have had good times, and bad times with those guys, but with this company I can say it was nothin but good. I never felt like they were jerking me around, or price jacking, or making up work to do just to get more of my money..which has happened with other guys...I felt like merrimack valley guys are fair, and good at what they do. They did a great job on my roof and chimney, I am recommending them to whoever needs a solid roofing company.

I was very happy with these roofers. They were one of the guys we got an estimate from for our roof rehaul. We had let it go too long, with to may incidents and damage over the years so it was a big and pricy job, and I wanted someone who knew how to deal with the insurance. The foreman was so professional, seemed like he knew the business very well, and took care of everything. I didn't worry at all, after I had stressed out about the whole thing for year, it was really silly of me to wait so long. I am soo glad we went with merrimack valley and I will call them for future work!

I have used them a few times. Once for an emergency roof repair, and then because they were so satisfactory, I called them up to do my gutter replacement. I like the try it before you buy it mentality, so I searched around and found almost entirely glowing reviews. I can see why, I was so happy with the work, both times. Especially their willingness to talk to me, answering my calls and questions, and were always on time. I felt inclinced to mention the company here online so that those who like to research first can get my input as well. Definitely and go to contractor.

Run screaming! Within 48 hours of installation, rain showed the gutters installed by this company didn't work at all. I phoned immediately and was told they'd send a crew the next day - but they never came. From then on I phoned and phoned and always got voicemail and left a message. Once I got the foreman on the phone and he pretended not to know who I was. The office doesn't answer or phone back either. I have emailed, used their contact us form on the website, and written by mail and have not ever received a reply. The NH Attorney General's office has multiple complaints against them, all closed due to no response from company. The BBB has received numerous complaints as well. They simply never respond, ever. Now I have to sue them.

The boys were a dream to have work for us. They all had good attitudes and were polite everytime they came, cleaned up after themselves, and the repairs and replacements look so good. We can't be happier about a local business being so accessible and having higher quality than other bigger "busier" companies that we have hired that were less than great. We will keep calling Merrimack Valley as long as we keep needed them, and they keep doing such a great job.

Best contractors I had dealt with to date. The anxiety of having to make a home improvement, find the right company and not break the bank or have added stress is something every home owner can attest to. It was so simple, easy, and done lightning fast. I had no problems, easy communication made it wam bam thank you maam. I have been recommending them to friends and family, so its safe to say I trust their work.

They are known in the area for doing good work fast, and being hard workers. For those of you who have had companies promise prices and dealines, and had them changed even multiple times throughout a job, then you will be happy if you go with these guys. I had them repair roof, gutters, and damage to my siding from the old gutters and leaks. They had a good estimate price, and have the rep that made me feel safe going with them. I am happy, satisfied, and can't thank them enough for the repectful service.

Very happy with the service and quality of work. All was done quickly, no BS. I appreciate a contractor that is straight forward, gets to work right away, and will keep me informed and answer any questions or concerns I may have. Level of service was refreshing, and the workmanship impressed me. I will return if I need anything else.

I had them put metal slate on my detatched garage. We've had so many problems with contractors in the past, it was nice to have a different experience. Good prices, but mainly we went with them because of their reputation in our community. I've seen their work, and one of my friends had metal slate put on their roof, and I loved it, like the protection and coombined with warranties and guarantees, I felt like it was a win win. They were done in a little over a day. I was so pleased, and I enjoyed the politeness of the company foreman and crew. Thanks!
