Counseling Center of Nashua

This is the worst place to get help when you need it most. STAY AWAY as that is what they want. They make the barrier so difficult in getting care they actually screen or filter out patients they don't want. Like others on here, you have to wait a long, long, long time for help. The management is definitely the barrier to getting help. They only want to provide mental health services for "healthy people." They suck! Also, they are intentionally misleading when it comes to telling you the truth about their providers.

I have been waiting almost a month for an appointment with psychiatrist and a therapist after being referred from the emergency room! In the meantime my condition has worsened and I have lost my job and health insurance. The center called me and said they ran my insurance and it has been cancelled. I need to pay for the first and second appointments with BOTH professionals in advance. The amount is over $700 and I haven't even been seen yet! When I explained the situation to them and that I was willing to pay for the first $250 appointment and was waiting for my tax return and that I could pay for the next one at the time of service they said NO. They said NO to any payment arrangements I tried to make. Clearly this organization only cares about money from the other reviews and mine. It's gross that they turn people away that need help because they want money in advance!

While doctors are very nice, management is HORRIBLE !!! They lie, don't credit accounts properly and try to lay blame on client. They refuse services that are recommended by the doctors and they totally cut my children and myself off with NO NOTICE (and no meds) because I owed $178 (they tried to say over $600 until I pointed out mistake after mistake after mistake) - and we've been clients there for over 4 years. One doctor was nice enough to see everyone and get enough meds prescribed so we can find other services elsewhere

I wouldn't recommend them to anyone - any office that has management that asks if a client can "cut back on visits" so they can pay off balance quicker doesn't have any concern for people's health and just wants $$$
