The most DISHONEST establishment I have ever entered in my life. Run fast, Run far, Run away and don t look back! These people over charged us for service that we did not need. $640 for a starter. When I told them that I wanted the used part, they told me that it would cost an additional $150 and placed the part on the counter. I inspected the part and determined that it was mine as I had marked it previously. I had to spin it in the box that they had it strapped into, and the starter was at room temp. I asked them if I could put 12 volts to it to see if it was working or not, and was told that it would spin with 12 volts but due to milliamp differences, it means nothing if it spins . At this, I knew i was being mislead and told them that I would pay $150 for the part. They then took the part to the back room and returned 15 minutes later, placed the part on the counter and asked how I would be paying? . I opened the box and my starter was red hot. Too hot to hold! I asked why my part was now hot? and was told I was being combative and asked to leave. Add to this that they also told us that our battery was dead ( the cause of the starter failure). Replacement was recommended at around $200 and declined. We proceeded directly from Auto Fair to an Auto Zone where our battery was load tested and deemed to be working perfectly. This will not be the last chapter to this story, as we plan to report our experience often ,and to every resource available to us.

I took a vehicle in on behalf of a friend of mine. Everything went well until we settled up for payment. I asked how much was owed for the job (replacing some brake lines). The mechanic asked what the quote was. I said I didn't know since I'm not the owner. He walked over to the car and started riffling through the glovebox. I asked why. He said he was looking for the copy of the original quote he saw in there when he was looking for the registration earlier. " You opened my glovebox without asking my permission?" He responded causually to this question, claiming he didn't want to bother me and this how its done with other customers. I consider opening a closed container inside someone else's property to be a breach of privacy! I wonder what other interesting kinds of information he has found while looking for things in his customer's cars. Banking information? Address'? Money or other valuables? I definitely won't be bringing my car here. He did a good job on the repairs and didn't hit me hard on the price, just watch him like a hawk if you want to do business with him.

I had a minor repair done to my VW GTI and after explaining the issues to a coworker they recommended I check this place out. I am new to the area and was not looking forward to having to bring it back to the dealership and/or hunt down a new garage to go to (horror stories). The car has a lot of miles on it and I just want good work, done by honest straightforward people. The customer service here was some of the best I've received at a garage. They were very professional and they have definitely won me over as a repeat customer. It's been a few weeks (meant to write this review earlier) but I dealt with a younger guy, mid twenties, and I think his name was Ethan, but could very well be wrong. He was a good dude. I'll be back for a CEL and brakes soon. 100% recommend!
I purchased a car from Jeff's westside auto about a month ago. Jeff is a shop owner that cares about the vehicles that he and his staff work on. Sometimes it is the little things... On the car that I bought, Jeff replaced a light that was out on it without me even asking him about doing it. There was another issue (it was a car straight from the auction) we found after a couple of days and Jeff went out of his way to try to find a part for me and give me insight as to how to correct the issue. All in all I had a great experience. When I went back to get the car inspected he even put my front plate on for me without me asking! Again, it's the little things that show someone cares.
