I went there for dinner with a few friends. The service was pretty good and we liked the food. I had the lamb, which was delicious. One of my friends had the salmon, which was quite good, but not as good as the lamb.

I have wanted to go to this place for years. I finally decided to go there on my b-day with my 2 young children. Upon arrival I asked if we can be seated on the patio for lunch, (80% of the tables were available). The hostess looked straight into my eyes and said ""NO""!!! Oh my, I did not know whether to leave or stay as I am a single mom and was really splurging that day and really wanted to spend special time with my children in this place on my bday. Well, some dumb mexican server came to me since I did not take no for an answer and said""I will see what I can do"". I thought this is more like it. Then he asks me ""How long do you think you will be""? I was speechless at this point as even Denny's treats their customers better. Then they finally sat us and my kids felt so stressed that they wanted to leave. I talked my kids into moving inside so they were more comfortable. I sat there wondering all through the meal, why I am still here.
Pathetic experience, maybe I should have brought my LV bag and worn my Rolex and would have better treatment.

Our lunch experience was bad from start to finish. Our waiter was no where to be found after he took our order. I asked for a straw 3 times, from 3 different people. I ordered the special - Halibut Fish and Chips. Yes, it's a deep fried fish, but when I took a bite, grease was dripping out, and puddled on my plate. It was soaked in oil, almost like the oil they used wasn't heated enough and absorbed all the grease. There were 4 tiny pieces - similar to the size of chicken nuggets, priced at $18. When I finally got up and had to go look for someone, I found a bus boy walking around. I asked for ketchup for my fries - I was told they did not have any. What? We asked for a small side order of pasta noodles for our 5 year old - it came in a small bowl about the size of your fist, they charged $12.50. We never saw our waiter again until he came back with the bill. Food - awful, especially for their high prices. Service - unacceptable. Will most definitely NOT be going back again!

I have been going to this place for many years, like every three months and let me tell you, it is now my favorite place. I was there on one occassion and I noticed that some people took a little longer to order, then the chef came out to that table. After that, the chef went inside and a little after, I see them bringing the dishes for that table. I couldn't help it, I got up and ask those people about their dishes. They were having a pasta, that is cooked and put inside a wheel of cheese. They bring the wheel of cheese (it looks kind of heavy to carry) to the table and serve it right in front of you. It looks and is delicious!!!! They said to me that they love to eat at Tra Di Noi. From the appetizers to the dessert it is very good. They said that they have more than one favorite dish so I decided to try some of the dishes they were having, including Crudo and of course the pasta. It is prepapered by the chef and he always makes something new and different. Ever since I tried it, I just think about going back! I definitely recommend it!!!

Best italian food in Malibu, hands down. Once or maybe twice I have gotten an ""off"" dish, but I go there all the time and it rarely ever fails. The service has only been iffy maybe a few times, and I have been there probably 20 or so. Overall, GREAT place. Not everyone can be 100% all the time, but these guys are 100% about 98% of the time. This place is my favorite restaurant in Malibu.

So pleasant, the restaurant is small, but the patio and the ambience is great. Food has always been delicious, pasta and pizza perfect, salads are yummy and can be shared. Great coffee and desserts too. A good selection of wine. Staff is very attentive and nice. Great for people watching. It's a treat after a day at the beach or shopping near by.

I have been going to Tra Di Noi for years. I am a malibu local and definitely think it is the best Italian food in Malibu. Especially since 50% of the restaurants in malibu are italian. The food is great the Pizza is amazing and one of the best I have ever had. The service is terrible. but the food makes up for it.

The first time I tried Tra di Noi was about a year ago and I would say it was ok. I went back in November of 2007, just to make it my favorite restaurant! I was there with a party of 5 (at first, 2 tried dishes from the regular menu and 3 of us decided to try the chef's specials). I don't know how to explain it but those were mouthwatering, delicious dishes. We all agree that Crudo was the best of all (Everything was delicious, good portions and very good quality). I have been going there almost every weekend ever since and the Chef's specials always impresses me. Friendly staff. I highly recommend this restaurant!!!!!!!!!!!! If you don't mind having an exquisite lunch or dinner next to a celebrity, make sure you eat at Tra di Noi.

This is my favorite Italian eatery in Los Angeles. My favorite food is Italian and I have been to millions of places that serve Italian food, but Tra Di Noi is by far the best. For lunch the pizza is delicious but on weekends you may wait a few minutes, and for dinner try any entree...my favorite is the ravioli, but on weekends a reservation is needed. The service is excellent and the waitors are so friendly. At night the ambiance is qaint and romantic and a great place to have a date although if you have a large group you will want to let them know since there is limited room. When you eat here you feel like you are at a small cafe in the heart of Italy!

This is a great spot to have lunch on a nice day. I live in Malibu, so I do dine here on occasion. I would however not drive here from a different city to dine here. I cannot give it a rave review. A few of the items that I have tried have been excellent. Some have been just average. I have always experienced good service here.

My husband and I went for lunch in Malibu yesterday and tried Tra di Nio. The menu had a good selection but the food took forever. The service was mediocre. The waiters didn't even check up on us about how we were doing, they just took our order, gave us the food which was much too long of a wait for simple pasta and gave us the check.

Delicious Italian food in a simple, yet cozy Malibu setting. I went here once just for dinner and once for a friend's wedding reception. Both times I was very pleased with the food. I understand what the previous reviewer said about waiting, though. The wedding party had worked out all of the details with the restaurant and paid a considerable amount of money to eat there, yet we still had to wait a good 15 minutes to be seated; they were supposed to have everything waiting for us. However, the food was worth the wait--all of it. It felt like we tried one of every course on the menu that night, and I wasn't disappointed in any of it. The wine selection is pleasing as well.
