Shell

Always the most reliable gas station in Maitland. Always have ice, water, and coldest beer in town. Down to earth associates and clean bathrooms. Never a bad stop.

Around 1:45 P.M, on Saturday, 2 May 2015, I stopped in the Shell gas and convenience store located at 500 S Orlando Ave

E Ventris Avenue, Maitland, FL 32751-5610. I attempted to find change (thus receiving bills instead of more coins) to pay along with my $5.00 bill I handed to the clerk for a $1.48 fountain soda. When I could not gather the loose coins, I told the cashier to just give me the change. "What change?!" he annoyingly responded. "You gave me a one dollar bill and I'm waiting for the rest!" Tired, confused and certain I had handed him a five I nonetheless gave him the change realizing I had little recourse.

The proud, ungrateful, arrogant and demeaning Shell gas station and convenience store associate managed to take advantage of the poor. It is a shame that not only how he treated me but he gave me no benefit-of-the-doubt. Then again, he does work for one of the richest industries in the history of the world ... except by his lack of decency he lost one patron who will not spend $5.00, $1.48 or loose change in a Shell store again.
