About Search Results

YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.

This is one of the worst schools we've ever been a part of, from the new principal the staff. And if you try to fight for your child, they find a way to shut you up or take it out on your child. We recently moved to Dallas and I thank god every day that we are no longer a part of this place. Whe…

Legacy Preparatory Christian Academy

We have been at Legacy for nine years, and we love the families, teachers and other students! It is a rigorous educational experience centered on Christ's Word! We have been able to participate in sports, NHS, Praise Band, theater and many more fun activities. We are thankful that our children have been able to score high on nationwide testing they do each year, and we feel they are being challenged academically as well. But mostly, we love the community of family and people that we get to do life with......it has been such a blessing!

My two daughters have attended Legacy for seven years. I can say that enrolling them in Legacy was the best parenting decision that we made. Not only did my wife and I get to spend more time with them as they were growing up, but we also had an active part in their education. My 11th grader will be taking pre-calculus and dual credit classes with Lone Star College this year. This is a rigorous curriculum and my girls have had to spend hours at home to keep up with the course work. The program has taught my daughters to be self-disciplined with completing their homework with no direction from me. They have learned to communicate directly with their teachers via their Chromebooks whenever they have questions about their assignments. The grading system and school structure becomes more like college as you advance through high school so that it is a smooth transition to college for the graduates. Both of my daughters are college ready and they still have 2 and 3 years left at Legacy. We are very pleased with our decision to send our girls to Legacy. There have now been 4 graduating classes at Legacy and graduates have been accepted at the following schools:Abilene ChristianBaylorConcordiaDallas BaptistElmira College (New York)Fresno State (California)Grand Canyon UniversityHardin SimmonsHouston BaptistMcMurray U.Millsaps College (Mississippi)Mississippi CollegeOklahoma StateOral RobertsRider (New Jersey)SamfordSouthwesternSt. Edward’sSweet Briar College (Virginia)Texas A&MTexas LutheranTexas StateTexas TechU of HIncarnate WordMary Hardin-BaylorNew MexicoNorth TexasOklahomaVasser CollegeThe 2017 graduating class was eligible for $1.41 million in merit-based scholarships.

Terrible experience from the front office to the teachers. There was a caring environment - however, no academic rigor at all. Very disappointing academics and the headmaster clearly has her favorites. Stay away from LPCA.

We have been at Legacy for six years, and it has been such a blessing. We have four children at Legacy and the academics are challenging, the teachers are well-qualified and the small class sizes are wonderful! Legacy has testing they do each year (although they do not "teach to the test"), and our children have scored high each year on these tests. But, not only are the academics excellent, but it is also given through a biblical worldview. They are getting challenged not only academically, but spiritually as well. We also love the community of families at Legacy too! We are very thankful for this school!

The academic standards for the school are very low. The teachers are not required to meet the basic minimum standards to teach in the state of Texas (since the school is private), so many are not certified or experienced. Many of the administrators have children who attend or friends with children who attend. While this is not inherently negative, the result is a great deal of "bending the rules" and lowering of academic standards if any parent feels upset about their student doing poorly on an assessment. This is the school's first year to have a senior class. They have never graduated any students, nor is there any data that can solidly indicate that this particular school is adequately preparing them for college. As a teacher who has taught for several years and graduated hundreds of students, I am not convinced the kids are being equipped to succeed. I do not recommend sending your student to this school to be the "guinea pig" in this educational experiment.
