I called because it was very hot yesterday, and my air condition was not cooling. I didn't even expect that anyone would even answer on Sunday, but I wanted to be up high on the list for Monday or Tuesday. When they answered I told them that I was without air condition, and that I as old and could they please send out a service man on the next day they open up. The gentleman told me that he would send a man out right then. When the serviceman came out he was very polite. He checked out the air condition and told me that a lizard had gotten into the electrical and stopped it from working. He fixed it, and once the air condition was working he checked out everything outside and in my attic. He told me everything was fine. I have heard so much about companies that take advantage of old folks, but not these people. They could have told me anything, but they didn't. These people are honest and treat people right! Thank you again!

I used these guys on a free second opinion. My unit was 9+ years old. The other 2 companies out just tried to sell me a unit and told me that the compressor was bad. The tech explained to me that capacitors were bad, and not the compressor and actually had my unit running in about 20 minutes. I inquired about a new unit since I had already had prices from 2 other companies and these guys were about $1000 less than the other two. I decided to have the A/C and heat both changed as the furnace was older. They didn't even charge me for the repair and kept me cool over the weekend. The installation they did was absolutely fabulous! An outstanding job on install, cleaned up their mess and mess left by other people I had work on my system in the past. I give them 5 stars!

This guy charged me twice what other companies charged for the same repair - unfortunately, I did my research afterwards!...you don't have much time to call around in 100+ weather. I wonder how many other people he took advantage of this drought-filled summer?!
I called them after 6pm and had someone out within 15 mins to my house. The technician was very thorough, very detailed about the problem(s) and fixed it all very quickly. We were quoted a more than reasonable price! We would have paid 2-3 x that amount anywhere else. He also cleaned our outside unit and showed us things to look out for when the system is close to needing replacement. I love how patient and detailed they were and we will definitely be calling them back again!
I can't say enough good about Laurence Lareau. After years of listening to the advice that my a/c unit was the right size for the house, and, after buying the wrong size unit upstairs and outside. Finally, Laurence came along and blew all those guys with calculators away. I knew the original a/c unit was too small for the house and so did he. First he rebuilt the air handler in the attic and make a big difference in both our comfort level and the electric bill. Then when the unit outside went down, he replaced it with a state of the art unit that was affordable. In summary, Laurence in my book is way ahead of the biggest & best names in Houston.

Laurence is an extremely knowledgeable and honest guy! He knows exactly how to find the problem and he fixes it without overcharging like the other guys! He will explain the problem to you in elementary terms anyone can understand! (not the who-ha jargon others try to confuse you with. When I call him, I know it will get fixed right the FIRST time. AND he will be here when he says he will and NOT keep me waiting.
His lovely assistant, Kendall, is quickly learning the trade as well. (hugs Kendall) :)
I used a different company before I gave Katy West a call.
The first company, "Grand Park A/C and Heating" came out and gave us the runaround, overcharged us and left.
I had to call them back because the A/C stopped working after they had serviced it, and then they had the nerve to charge us for the 2nd visit.
Then I called "Katy West" and they came out. We got none of the runaround which is so typical with most companies these days.
They are extremely professional and get the job done right.
I have a 8yr old coleman air conditioner which was not working and the first company that came out to my house told me that they could replace the unit for close to $4,000, so I called out some other air conditioning companies for a bid, and what they were going to charge to replace it was about the same. When i called Katy West Houston Air the technician came out to my house and told me that it was a problem that was fixable for less than 10% of the cost that the other companies were going to charge to replace the unit, and if I were to get my air conditioner fixed than my AC unit should last me a few more years before having to worry about replacing it. Although the technician also gave me the alternative to replace the unit if I wanted to, and the bid he gave me for the replacement was even significantly better priced than the other three companies. Well for right now I went ahead with just getting my unit fixed, and I even got a curtously coil cleaning free of charge. I have referred this company to family and friends because they truly are honest and reasonable.
