Doing a to go order on the phone is not the best way to order at Esquire because the services is really bad and picking up the order is not the best. If I had to recommend this place to someone it would be very hard for me to give a good rating.
This is by far the worst bar I've ever been to. For starters Shawn the bartender was very rude and was a prick the whole time. Then owner asked if everything was ok and I said Shawn needs to smile more and she said we are working on it. Then a few hours later we came back to use the restroom and the b*tch owner had the nerve to say we were asked to leave earlier. Which never happened!! Do not go here. It was BS!!!! Sad to see paying customers treated like sh*t!!!!! I would give negative stars if I could. This is my first review I have ever left also but i thought y ou should know!!!
Terrible service. Server said this was her first Friday night. I think this may have been her first time serving. Did not bring out all of the meals at the same time. Needed to be reminded that a whole meal was missing and what the meal was. Last meal served almost 14 min. after all others. That missing meal was the meal for the birthday celebrant. Loaded potatoes only had butter and s. cream. She said that was the way loaded potatoes came, but did admit that the chives were missing. Later came back with chives, bacon and cheese. She told us bacon and cheese not a part of loaded potatoes. Soup bowl in aisle was dropped, soup splashed on two of party. They were not even offered anything to dry selves up. Two had to sit in the aisle, which was on the route to bathroom. They said there was no other place we could sit. Had reservations. Poor serve, food was good but obviously could not overcome service. Not a nice birthday place.
My husband just happened upon this bar in the middle of the afternoon as we were walking on State Street. Went in to order lunch and a brew, very friendly staff, nice condiment bar and great food! Nice surprise!
They have the best burgers! Great service! we order from them at least twice a month. great restaurant.
The food is amazing!! Best, freshest ahi tuna around. The food is unique, creative and it priced great for the level of quality. Very consistent
I've been in there twice in the past year and didn't stay either time. The dining room is tired and dingy. My feeling is that if the dining room, the part you see, isn't at 100% the kitchen is probably way worse. I've noticed the same look at some of the other older chain restaurants in Madison lately too. Friday's is not the only place that needs a facelift and to get rid of that foul carpeting.
WOW! Perfect place for date night with the wife. Food is delicious. Gourmet without being weird or pretentious.
Delicious breakfast! Great Alterra coffee and good treats if you have room. A comfortable classic cafe atmosphere.
Marigold Kitchen is a great option for breakfast in downtown Madison. They have creative & delicious dishes, great mimosas, and quick service! It's a great place to stop before or after the farmers market on the square.
