General Info
Edgewood Campus School is a private Catholic school founded in 1881 by the Dominican Sisters of Sinsinawa. Children of all religions, nationalities and cultural traditions are welcome. Classes offered include all-day four- year-old and five-year-old kindergarten and grades 1 through 8. The Wisconsin Council of Religious & Independent Schools accredits the Campus School. The core curriculum includes religion, mathematics, language arts, science and social studies. In addition, students take these special subjects: Computer and Technology Education, General Music, Art Education, Physical Education, Library, Spanish, and Guidance. Students can take advantage of these special academic opportunities: Business Education Partnership Program, College for Kids, School Makes a Difference Program, Science Olympiad, National Geographic Bee, Scripps National Spelling Bee, and Northwestern University’s Midwest Academic Talent Search. Co-curricular activities include: Safety patrol, yearbook, big buddy mentoring program, 7th and 8th grade annual musical performance, choir, band, Leadership Council, and league sports including volleyball, basketball, softball and track and field. Edgewood Campus School has an After School Program that offers care for students in 4K through grade 8 from dismissal to 5:30 PM. ECS faculty members run the program with support from Edgewood College work-study students. There is an annual registration fee of $30/family. Families are billed monthly at the rate of $6.25/hour based on actual usage. Edgewood Campus School students are expected to dress so their clothing enhances the educational environment of the school and reflects the importance of the learning climate. Specific details regarding the dress code can be found on the website and in the Family Guidebook. Edgewood Campus School students attend classes in the Campus School building, the Edgedome, and the Sonderegger Science Center. The middle school classrooms are located within Edgewood High School. Pray services are held at the chapel at Edgewood College.
