I just came back from the dealer Zimbrick Nissan Eastside and very dissatisfied with the mistreatment by the 2 sales representatives who questioned my intention to purchase a 2015 Lexus IS250 and obviously didn't think I had the funds to buy it. This has been the 3rd time this week that I've been there so of course I was very serious about purchasing the vehicle. The first night, I didn't get to test drive it because i forgot my wallet with my license so I rode in the car with my wife and 2 children. The second night I went back again and they were already closed so tonight I was ready to purchase it but they refused to let me test drive the vehicle by myself without a sales rep in the car with me. They also scolded me that my family could not ride in the car with me this time and before they would even let me test drive it, they only wanted to talk "numbers" first. Granted, it was 30 mins before closing and storming heavily, I understand perhaps they were in a rush to close and head home but they certainly lost a sale from me by the way they treated me. I would not have been there in the storm with my family waiting outside if I was not serious about purchasing the vehicle. The 2 sales rep went in circles about allowing me to even test drive it as if I was going to steal the vehicle. I was ready to buy it and told them numerous times! I just wanted to test drive it alone. We as buyers have rights too and should be allowed to test drive a vehicle without a sales rep breathing down our neck or pressuring us for a sale. What kind of sales rep states that we should fill out paperwork to see if I'm even qualified first? I had a bank pre-approval and cash in hand, just wanted to test drive it first but I will never ever step foot back into into that lot again because their discrimination.

I bought a used vehicle from this dealership and within 50 miles, it started to have problems. The check engine light came on saying the catalytic converter needed to be replaced. The dealership refused to do anything as they do not warranty ANY of their used cars. The sales person was incredibly rude about it and the managers refused to discuss it with me. Since then, I have discovered the horn does not work and the "brand new rear brakes" either weren't new or were improperly installed by the dealership as they are now squealing and need repair. The bearings need repair as now when the steering wheel turns, there is a high pitch noise. There is a hole in the exhaust and it is incredibly loud. The serpentine belt needs to be replaced immediately. ALL of this happened within 3 months of driving the vehicle. The estimates are a minimum of $4000 worth of repairs on a $9000 vehicle. The sales person assured me this was a reliable and quality vehicle. I have bought many cars over the years, nearly all from individuals, and NONE of those cars have had as many problems over the whole life of the car compared to what has gone wrong in 3 months with this car. They sell junk cars and do not stand behind them, refusing to even discuss how to resolve it. This is the WORST car buying experiencing I have ever had. Buy with extreme caution.
My husband and I have been looking for a car for quite awhile. Through Craigslist, private sellers, car dealers (both new and used cars), it is or I should say, can be frustrating. We ended up at East Madison Toyota and we are so very, very happy we did. From our salesman, JJ to Jamie, John and Cory, we cannot even imagine going anywhere else from now on. Everyone is so sincerely nice, helpful, genuine and down-to-earth. JJ asked questions and worked with us to meet our specific needs, no pressure. JJ was always very nice and extremely patient. We had a ton of questions and a lot of going back and forth. Do we buy used? Do we buy new? We looked at both. Thank you everyone for making us feel comfortable in our decision and in helping us find the best vehicle for us. (p.s. we bought brand new and are so excited)!!! Such an awesome dealership!! Do not go to mad city sales. Document everything, make sure everything is in writing, and if you do buy a vehicle, make sure you have extra money for repairs. Check out the bbb rating on these guys.
SMART MOTORS TOYOTA has fantastic customer service from start to finish. Back in August 2015 I picked up 2nd my new vehicle from Smart, which is a Highlander and since then I have been back to SMART for an oil change etc. SMART provides white glove customer service 100% of the time, it doesn't matter what you are there for, whether it is buying a vehicle or having your vehicle serviced. Mad City Sales are CROOKS. It doesn't get any worse than this: PLEASE READ! I asked Mad City Sales to find a specific sports car for me (WRX STI)...and gave them my price limit. They found car after car and then expalined that it didn't workout because of an issue. Every time the new car got alittle more expensive. After the 4th car, it seemed like everything was fine and they aquired it. It was only 2 years old with 20K miles on it, and was full retail at $30,000 which was quite a bit over my spending limit, but I bought it because it seemed like the smartest decision for an almost new pristine car. When I got it home, I parked it. The next day it died and had to be towed back to the Mad City for a new starter. After a few months I noticed a bunch of sketchy things with this "near new" car. There were holes in the floor boards from racing seatbelts taken out, roll cage taken out, big exhaust leak, faulty o2 sensor ect. I had the car looked at and dyno'ed and It was SEVERELY UNDERPOWERED. The boost the Turbo was supposed to be making was around 15psi...and it was making 8psi. There were BOOST LEAKS EVERYWHERE. What the shop explained to me was that this car was HEAVILY MODIFIED and RETURNED TO NORMAL. After all of the issues I ended up selling the car 8 months after buying it. It was worth $27,000K bluebook and I sold it for loss at $24,000K!!! A few days before I sold the car, I got one last oil change for the new buyer. The Subaru dealer pulled up on the comuputer that the ENGINE HAD BEEN REBUILT! The previous owner shelled out $9,000 out of pocket for the rebuild! So I PAYED FULL RETAIL for a SKETCHY REBUILT/ SPORTS CAR! Mad City Sales are CROOKS...they sell bad cars for the most money possible. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
