For many years, this has been my "go-to" place for all my computer needs, be it repairs or new computers. Can't live without these guys!
As the Owner of MCW, I have looked into the claims of Margie Z. She brought in an old locking up computer on a Friday at 5:23PM. It hit a bench on the next work day, Monday 5/1/17, before 10AM. The customer was given a status update 5/2/17 Customer was called again 5/3/17 with status, and told her the old system wasn't worth fixing, and we recommended replacing her computer. She bought one elsewhere and brought it in a few days later. We copied her data from her old locking systems hard drive to her new system purchased elsewhere, and charged the two hours spent for diagnosing and copying her data (actual time we spent working on system). She picked up her system 5/6/17. The only claim she made that was accurate was that she brought in a computer, and spent $200. Had she purchased the replacement computer from MCW, we would have waived the diagnosis fee and she would have paid for 1 hour labor, and the new system.Our service time and cost were both prompt, proper, and cost effective. Customer never contacted us with her dissatisfaction and YP never sent us a copy of this complaint, or we would have responded sooner. We just saw her post.
I am very unhappy concerning my recent experience with this company. Not only did it take them more than a week to finally know that I needed to replace my computer, but it took another three days to transfer the data to my new machine and it still took me two more days to get back to where I was before I took my computer to them for help.as stated above, I was not happy with them and they have done nothing to change my mind.I used to think they were the best at what they do, but I will not ever recommend them or go back to them for my computer needs.I am going to send my complaint on to the Better Business Bureau so others will not have to deal with this terrible service. Tech Heroes on East Washinton Ave. in Madison WI. They're small but awesome and growing. My ear buds broke off inside the audio Jack of my Kindle. All but ruined for my purposes.: Tech Heroes fixed it really fast while I waited. Friendly. No charge. They said just review them online. They deal with computers, cell phones, etc. Real competition rising for Geek Squad.
Doc Jams has always treated us as if we are their only customer. They come to us quickly, get our printers repaired fast and deliver toner sometimes even the same day!
