We have had our Kirby G4 for almost 25 years (got it soon after that model came out) and had very minimal repairs in that quarter century. Compared to the other vacuums we have used – well – there is just no comparison. The Kirby excels, not just for its durability, but especially its deep cleaning power on carpets of all depths (and it’s a wonder on stairs). The Kirby also excels as to ease of use and effectiveness of the hose attachments and tools, to get even the hard to reach places thoroughly cleaned. (Our only mistake, about five years ago, was using a non-Kirby service for repair of the drive mechanism.) We have just now had a full rebuild at Kirby of Madison. A great service, at a great price. I’ll still be our now essentially new G4 for a long time to come.
ABSOLUTELY DO NOT USE THIS REPAIR SERVICE. I'M TWO WEEKS INTO RECEIVING THE SAME TREATMENT ALL THE OTHER REVIEWERS HAVE RECEIVED. PHONE CALLS NOT RETURNED. ORDERS PLACED FOR PARTS BUT FOR SOME REASON THEY ARE NOT AVAILABLE. ETC. ETC. THE OUTFIT SHOULD BE DRIVEN OUT OF BUSINESS. MY RATING IS MINUS 5 STARS.
Wonderful experience!! Their generosity and caring manner made the whole experience memorable. Thank you!!
Wish I would have seen these reviews before calling as well. I am disappointed that Bosch lists them as certified repair. I contacted Appliance Pros in mid March and it is now May. My dishwasher was still under warranty when I first contacted him, now it's not. He came to the house two times. First time he showed up without the part I explained I needed during the first phone call. He said he'd order it and call when it came in. I called for a status update after a few days. It took forever to get a return phone call. When the part came in he arrived and surprise.... he couldn't find the part in his van. Again he said he'd order another. Well in the mean time I wait and decide to look online for another repair service and come across all these similar reviews. Wow!!!!!! I really feel like an idiot for not looking sooner. Terrible customer service! Not sure how he is able to stay in business.
Less than zero if possible. Been calling multiple times since December and it is now March. Spoke with Jay twice with great assurances from him like, "will call you back by 10 tomorrow morning", but it never happens. I even had the manufacturer call him. Nothing works. Luckily I have not given him any money, nor should you. Do not use this company at all costs. I do not see how he can possibly still be in business. There are others appliance repairs services in the Madison area. Use them!
Wish I would have found these other reviews before I called. Came out and looked at my range. Told me he'd get the part and come be back the next week. I have left 7 polite messages looking for an update. I haven't heard anything. It's been over three weeks.
Avoid Appliance Pros at all costs. Had them replace a faulty part in my dishwasher in 2011. The part failed 5 months later causing a leak. I called AP since their parts and labor are under 1 year warranty. They told me they would order the part and call me back when it arrived to schedule appointment. Week went by... no part. I called them multiple times. They told me that they were having issues with their supplier (probably did not pay them on time). After waiting for a month (and washing dishes by hand), I finally called another business in Middleton which came out 3 days later and fixed the problem, for HALF the cost Appliance Pros charged me in the first place. The owner of Appliance Pros is Jay Allen, former mayor of Fitchburg (and he is running for office again this spring). I took him to small claims court last summer over this issue, won the case with damages, had the execution served to him by Dane County sheriff, had a county deputy visit him multiple times to try to collect. Jay Allen never paid. The deputy told me that this guy is a jerk, has been sued multiple times and that he owes money to lots of people. But there is no legal way to make him pay, even though the guy owns a business. Bottom line, never call Appliance Pros for anything. And don't vote for Jay Allen in Fitchburg elections.
THEY SUCK. I'm still waiting to get my dyer fix, that was supposed fixed six months ago. The part was not replaced. Then they came out and said that the part has to come from Chicago. Would take three days. That was two weeks ago. no one calls you back. They never talked to the Apt mgr. I was they when she lefted a message. She calls everyday. Still no reply. The someone finally calls and said someone coming between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. And I've been here all day, no call to say if running late. I would not even bring up their name if their washer and dyer needed repair. They need to just closed their door. almost forgot the part that was out of town. they have it in stock. they need no stars
