Here's a positive review from a white male who lives in Macon: every time I visit this post office, I receive great, prompt customer service. There is plenty of parking, and there is rarely a line. If there is a line, then it moves quickly. Maybe I just know how not to act like I am up to no good, because I am not, and show respect to those around me.
If you are White and male, you will be treated like a criminal, even if all you want to do is get postage for an envelope. I am not exaggerating one bit. They will close lines, have people break in line ahead of you and delay you as much as they can. Plainclothes security will prepare to bar your way as you leave, then follow you out into the parking lot (from getting postage for an envelope!) Then a Macon-Bibb police car will "coincidentally" appear. It may sound paranoid, but if you have enough situational awareness to avoid being victimized by crime, it is unmistakably evident that YOU are regarded as a criminal, because you are a White male in Macon.
