Let me start by saying that I thoroughly enjoy Hibachi and my husband loves sushi. We went to Shoguns for my husbands birthday with some friends. I called and made a reservation for 7:30 on a Friday night to make sure we could get in. We arrived right on time and checked in. Upon arrival we were told it would be about 10 minutes. We were fine and went to the bar area. After waiting about 10 minutes there someone showed up to take orders. After 25-30 minutes we were finally seated. The only reason I selected this restaurant was because of the Entertainment app coupon I had for Buy 1 Get 1 Entree Free. I presented my membership card and app and the waitress was not able to take it, her coworker took it to check on it. When she came back she said I could have 10% off. I then showed her my app that states B1G1. She did not seem to understand. I told her I would like to see her manager (which I did not get to). She tried to leave with my phone and go talk to the manager. I stopped her from taking my property and she spoke to the manager without it. Upon returning she stated that 10% is the best they could do even after I clearly explained the coupon is for B1G1. Needless to say due to the length of waiting time and the poor customer service, I will not be going back to this restaurant again.

Avoid this place, HORRIBLE customer service from manager at Macomb shogun this past weekend. Will never eat at this one again. Friend and I bought groupon to dine with each other and take kids out. We are not from same household nor were we doing one bill. Tell waitress about we each have groupon and she say we have to sit at separate tables to use groupon. Manager comes over and acts RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL. There is not another soul in here and she tells us one of us has to sit 2 tables away from each other and adds on that it may take an hour for us to be served. After a back and forth plea to let us dine together, i decide to move two tables away. My kids were going to sit with their friends until more guest for that table. The manager has a very NASTY attitude and a RACIST tone and demeanor and threatens to call the police on us (2 African American moms and 4 kids 8yrs and younger) if my 4 year old and 6 year old didn't move to the new table and if my friends two kids didn't move and sit right next to her. More guest come and they never sat anyone else at my friends table and refused to cook me and my 2 kids food on the grill where my friend was sitting. At some point I go to talk to my friend as no cooks have started cooking and the manager comes over to tell me that I must sit at my table and not talk to my friend. Although this was my first visit at Macomb shogun, I have dined at St Clair Shores shogun and met moms up there with there kids and able to each use groupon as well as other guest at the table had groupons.......if this was the rule at Macomb.....good cutomer service would have been we only allow 1 groupon per table (which doesn't make sense) but will let you do it this one time and let us enjoy our moms outing with the kids. The manager walked by several times rolling her eyes and talking in her language as my kids sat with their friends. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!
