I have been going to Jessica for 8 years, following her from salon to salon, who now works at Salon Cybele'. Today I had an appointment at 12 noon with Jessica. I was running a bit late and had called the Salon to tell them that I would be 10 minutes late. When I showed up 13 minutes late, I was greeted by her and the receptionist with glaring eyes and angry attitudes. After apologizing, telling them I HAD called, Jessica informed me that she had never gotten the message. Proceeding to the station, she continued to make me feel embarrassed and guilty in front of all the other clients. The appointment that I had made for a TRIM, was rushed and finished within 20 minutes, not even threatening the time of her next appointment. As she took me to the front to pay, she ran my card for $60, with no mention of the breakdown of the charges. Still getting the feeling of her frustration and my feeling extremely guilty for making her wait 13 minutes I tipped her $10. When I left and returned home, I noticed then how much she charged me. I know for a fact that a haircut is $40, there was no reason for a $60 TRIM. I then called the salon, explaining my situation to the receptionist and asked her if I could speak with Jessica. She told me that Jessica was NOT in the salon. Two minutes later, Jessica called from the Salon phone and went in to telling me that the mystery charge was from a past appointment in April, that I had canceled less than 24 hrs before. She then went on to explain that her policy was to charge for a full haircut when the client does not give 24 hr notice. I would've been happy to pay her for my cancellation of the appointment, had she mentioned that the next time I would be coming back in, I would have to pay. In the 8 years that I have been a loyal customer to her, I was never aware of this policy. I am more appalled in which the manor that I was treated, then having to pay this late-cancellation fee. I have never been this disrespected in a place that I have been bringing my business to for years. Her attitude towards the whole situation was uncalled for, and could've been resolved in a less invasive fashion. From this point on, I am more than happy to bring my business elsewhere.
