The company was started in 1950 as a partnership with Lloyd G. Flint, Jr. and two realtors at Steptoe Patterson, Charles Pryor, and Hamp Farrar. Lloyd Flint developed and ran the construction end of the business. Later, Flint and Pryor bought out Mr. Farrar's interest and incorporated at the Home Builders of Lynchburg, Inc. In 1960 the business was divided. Mr. Pryor received the real estate business while Mr. Flint took over the construction business. Soon after the name was changed to L. G. Flint, Inc. Flint's reputation for high-quality, price competitive buildings continued to grow. Robert L. Flint, CGR, joined the company in 1975 and is the current president. His commitment to quality is shared by the staff of experience, full time employees. Well supervised teams of skilled employees give the company the capability and flexibility to keep projects moving, even under challenging conditions. Through the years L. G. Flint, Inc. has developed the versatility to tackle a variety of jobs. Flint builds and remodels residential and commercial structures. Commercial construction ranges from manufacturing and retail buildings to college dormitories and churches. Our Process Outline of steps towards starting a project: * Phone call or email inquiry about project * LGF staff follows up promptly to get information about build, schedule appointment for site visit * Assist owner with development of plans and specifications. In house design or out-sourced as needed * Prepare preliminary estimate * Make design changes as necessary * Assist owner with product selections (emphasis on "Green" products where possible) * Prepare plans for final pricing and construction * Submit final price * Start building!
