we always make appointments and get ther 15 minutes earlier but we have to wait at least 15 minutes past appointment times. every time there is a different excuse and person at the desk is usually quite rude when you question the wait time. if i have an appointment i expect to be taken before walk ins. today i called about my husbands wait time and people with no appointment being taken before him and was told, maybe you should just walk innot an acceptable answer
Two days ago I walked in without an appointment to have routine blood work. The only bad part of the visit was the wait. Once I was called back, I was out within minutes. I am a "hard stick" but Chasity, the lab technician I saw had absolutely no problem drawing my blood. Amazing, since usually it takes everyone else 15 minutes or more to find a vein they can use and sometimes they have no luck at all. I can't say enough good things about Chasity. She was very professional ...kind, courteous and very good at her job!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The two women who work here are the worst. I had my labs done here a year ago and they were both rude, flippant, arrogant and condescending. It was pretty upsetting and I contacted Labcorp about it. I recently had my annual physical and my physician sent me back to the same place. Because it's been a year, I didn't think about until I walked into the Labcorp office and they were both there. (It appeared they were the only people there.) I started to leave and go back to my dr to get a referral to another lab but I didn't. The "older" blond haired woman was curt, unpleasant and ride from the second I walked in to sign in. Once I got to the desk where they could process my insurance, I mentioned I was scared of needles and laughed nervously. The blond haired woman sent me to one of the chairs and then she came to draw my blood. So, without saying anything to me at all, she drew my blood and stood there gossiping with the other woman while she did so. I was very nervous and looking away when she said "why are you breathing like that?" (I was taking deep breathes in hopes to relax. I replied "I'm scared of needles" to which she replied "sad" it a very rude tone. I was stunned. So, I'm not sure what's going on at this location but I will drive out of the way to go to another lab before I'll come back here. It's pathetic. I'm also about to call my doctor and tell them because they refer patients there. I just can't imagine being so unhappy with your job, life or whatever that you have to mistreat patients. I was so polite, nice, accommodating and everything else but it didn't seem to help. Yes, I'm an adult and I'm leery of needles. It doesn't give you the right to be rude and unkind. If you feel that way, keep it to yourself. I shouldn't be having to review a place because people aren't doing a job that they're expected and paid to do. Yes, I had my blood drawn and afterwards, sat in my car almost in tears. I contacted Labcorp last year when this happened, with the same two women. I'm not sure why this behavior is allowed to continue and a little compassion might not hurt.
