I recommend anyone looking for a new Toyota or a quality pre owned vehicle go see Jamie at Lugoff Toyota
I found a Rava 4 on the True Car app. for 22,000 I called the dealership spoke to a salesperson, he said to call when I was on my way. When I got there, the sales person I had spoken to about the car was not there. They referred me to someone else. I insisted on speaking with that salesperson and suggested I would come back some other time. Of they were not going to let that happen. I showed them my true car quote of course that meant nothing. They only gave me the discounts but not the price quoted on the true car quote. after it was all said and done I ended up paying for 29,500 for that Rava 4, since I have traded. But I will never go back to Lugoff Toyoya. They will whodo you every time.
We purchased our new Highlander from Logoff last year!!! We could not be more pleased with the entire experience! Scott Cooper was our salesman and he was extremely patient and took time to get us in the right vehicle and get us the deal we wanted! Everyone from management to finance was awesome! We were 100% happy with our experience!! We went on to purchase a new Corolla for our college daughter and a New Tacoma for my husband in the last year as well!! Needless to say, we won't be going to another dealership!!!!
Place is a straight joke. My car broke down on our trip, and Gieco towed it there because it was the nearest ford dealership. It got there and I drove back home and a week later went back with a trailer for my car. I asked them to take a look at it, I already figured it was a bad lifter, and when's got there they told me I needed a completely new motor. They said for an extra $100 they'd tear down the motor to make sure, but said they knew I needed a new motor. They quoted me for an $8k custom made motor for my cobra, so I brought the car back and started tearing the motor down myself. I found out the motor was fine and I needed to just replace the lifter. But while taking the valve cover off, I noticed the bolts for the bar going accross my engine were missing on one side, some lines were pulled off and then not clamped back down and bolts to my valve cover were all loose. Obviously they tore into it and knee the problem, or were terrible mechanics. I replaced all lifters just to be safe and the car runs great now. They either tried to steal my motor and sell me one way over priced for a 97 cobra, or they're terrible mechanics.
Received letter in the mail stating my 06 trailblazer has a factory recall on a door switch I call and set up an appt as stated in the letter to have an inspection to replace the switch. When I call I am told it should take about 45 mins to take the panel off to get to the switch and cross reference it to see if it is one that is under recall (simple enough). Morning I drop my car off I inspect my door panel, because I know how simple it is to crack or break the push tabs that hold it in place. I Drop vehicle off at 9:30 receive no call, at 1:30 I call to see if my wifes vehicle is ready for pick up and am told oh yeah come get it, your good to go we had to order you a switch. Drop my wife off with the vehicle so she can run some errands, she gets home around 8 and I take a look at her vehicle and the tab that holds the panel into place behind the side mirror is busted off and flapping and the plastic trim running along the bottom of the window is busted. Great looks like somebody did not want to be at work on Monday morning, huh? I return to this so called service dept. to address the issue and am rudely told we don't have to remove your door panel to check the door switch nobody touched your door panel, insanely rude. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Would not give me the time of day to explain I had examined my door panels prior to dropping my vehicle off, and also that just because you don't have to do something to complete a job doesn't mean your mechanic on Monday morning didn't have a lapse in memory and pulled the door panel off to get to the switch and maybe somebody say hey dude you don't have to do all that. Hope to hear from them to correct this situation but doubtful they were pretty hot headed that no one touched my door panel. But the fact is I have never removed them ever, and they were not broken before it went behind your doors. Would not recommend to my neighbor or friends, joke of a service dept. zero customer service skills in tough situations, failed to hear my side of anything it was the job doesn't require us to remove it and that's it, man I wish it was that simple but guess your not willing to even let the thought cross your mind that one of your techs made a mistake, well guess what were human and we all make mistakes and I put off taking my vehicle in for this stupid recall because I knew someone would break my door panel but stupid me made a mistake (because I'm human too) and thought I could trust my vehicle with the experts. I have installed every door speaker on every car I have owned because I know your average joe with a wrench isn't going to take the time to look at where every pop is and make sure to apply even pressure as to not snap a tab, because it is not theirs and they do not care. this is my wife's vehicle and I have not touched her door speakers or door panels to remove them since we purchased it three months ago,I hope they do the right thing, but not too optimistic, after reading other reviews about there service dept. not tightening oil filter and lug nuts on wheels, doesn't look like you have a spot less record and they are capable of making mistakes, and your customers aren't stupid and probably know their vehicles better than you do. Will be contacting another dealership to get my door switch and installing it myself. Will Gladly Share my experience with anyone that would like to hear, (firstname.lastname@example.org) Please do not give this service dept your hard earned money there are tons of reputable mechanics in town that will repair your car and fix what they break, maybe this place has gotten to big to be accountable for all of its mechanics and the consumer is the one that suffers.
Aside from an online catalogue that is completely out of date, the moniker 'always fast, always friendly' was a bit of a misnomer; considering my initial visit lasted 6 hours to look at one car, involving multiple prolonged periods of waiting. When I came back to get my car after waiting a week for simple maintenance repairs, the work had not been completed [yet Lugoff Ford intended to release the vehicle to me anyway]. During attempts to contact the dealership I received horrible follow up service, on multiple occasions being told I would be called back only to have to call back myself hours later. After waiting another week to have the work on the car done [again, with no feedback or follow-up from Lugoff Ford that wasn't pried] I arrived to find part of the work still hadn't been completed, because the shop manager 'refused' to do it - despite a written agreement at the point of sale indicating the work would be done. In addition to refusing to perform the service agreed to, the car was damaged in while under the care of Lugoff Ford and they refused to repair the damage due to ‘having spent too much money on the sale of a used car already’. How exactly that justification is made is beyond me - when work was agreed upon at the point of sale and damage was caused while under care of the dealership. Additionally, I requested to have my tags transferred when I purchased my vehicle, but Lugoff Ford neglected to remove the plates from my trade-in when sent to auction, which means I have to schedule a visit to the DMV now. The loaner vehicles offered during the time my car was in the shop were nice; but, unfortunately they practice a ‘finders keepers’ rather than a lost and found policy. I suppose it’s my fault for possibly leaving items in the vehicle, but I would still expect more from any customer based Service Industry Company. I am incredibly dissatisfied with the service provided, and would strongly recommend interested buyers look elsewhere.*UPDATE*Lugoff has contacted me and begun taking action to resolve the issues to my satisfaction.
Word of caution...True bait and switch is illegal in SC. Don't even try to buy a car at Lugoff Toyota.I went to look at a car advertised there, that has been up for sale for over 60 days, I talked to the salesman this morning who ensured the car was still available and he gave me his number to text him when I was on the way. I texted him when I was ten minutes and said I am on my way to look at that Camry we talked about. He responded, great see you in a minute. When we got there we were told a guy from Georgia just put a down payment on the car. And then they kept us there for two hours to try to sell is something else that isn't even comparable for 50% more than the other car.
They are very professional, quick to meeting your needs when it comes to a NEW car. my salesperson was JOSH TORRENCE.. he was the 1st face we saw when we pulled up into CAROLINA CHRYSLER jeep dodge.. with a welcoming smile and friendly manner.. Josh welcome us. as we went in, I notice that everyone was in uniform. there was no doubt who worked here. a very professional arena. As I sat down with Josh, I told him I was there because I won a prize. He smiled, then he ask me IF I would be interested in trading my 2010 Dodge journey. No pressure, just a question... I liked that! As he talked, he asked ME what I would like and what would I like my payment to be IF I was interested, he smiled. I told him ok.. what you got! then in a flash, he drove up with this beauiful pearl white 2013 journey! How's that he asked? the rest is CAROLINA CHRYSLER jeep dodge history! I am grateful for my NEW 2013 Journey! Thank Josh! keep up the GREAT work and keep that humble spirit of yours.. when you give your customers the feeling of control over whether or not they would WANT to buy and NOT pressured to buy, it makes a GREAT difference. Thanks again Josh! we Will be passing the word on about the BEST dealership in LUGOFF with the BEST saleperson.. We will be back to purchase FROM you again.
