I started going in the beginning of Sept. & liked it at first. I was talked into getting the Platinum package but told them that I would have to downgrade for the month of October. Half way through September I spoke with a lady asking to downgrade my account because I wouldn't be able to afford the Platinum package for Oct. She told me that there was a promotion that would make my total for Oct. $36 for the month. So I agreed to keep the Platinum package. So about a week or so before October 1st I spoke with a lady to request to change my payment method. I asked her to remove the bank card on file and put a different one, my primary bank account, because the current account would have a $0 balance on October 1st. So the lady took the new card and input the information into the computer. She said it was successful and my old payment card would not be charged. On October 6th, the card that I requested to be removed as a payment method and she confirmed that she removed it, was charged $65.95! I went in there yesterday evening to request a refund and to close my account and the woman spoke to me as if I were stupid and that she didn't believe me. While on the phone with her manager/coworker explaining what was going on she sounded annoyed and spoke about me as if I were making this whole thing up. I described the employee that changed my card information and she tried to play like she didn't know who I was talking about. So after all of this nonsense she says she cannot confirm if I will get a refund, but it says on the PBT website that I am entitled to a full refund. How can she not know this? I am not going to give my business to a tanning salon who pushes sales, misrepresents prices to get sales, cannot properly process debit and handle payment accounts, and clearly has terrible customer service sales. I am not even going to waste my time waiting for them to "talk to cooperate." I will be contacting them myself as PBT seems to screw over a lot of people!

I just started going to Always Tan and I love it. Their salon is always clean, their staff is friendly and helpful. I started using their hydration bed and red light therapy. I can't get enough of it. They're the only place in Lubbock you can get all that and the wide variety of tanning beds that they have.
Palm Beach has clean facilities and a variety of bed options. However, their customer service, honesty and integrity is extremely lacking. I travel a lot for my job, so when I started going here, I liked the convenience to "Freeze" my account when I travel and then unfreeze when I'm in town, That's definitely not the case. I froze my account before a month of business trips and later found out I was charged the full amount several months in a row instead of the $7.50 freeze charge. After calling to talk to the manager, she wouldn't even speak to me and let the front desk girl attempt to tell me that they'd give me a free month of tanning, but there was nothing they could do because THEIR computer system didn't reflect the freeze. it's not my fault that their system is faulty and they really should show some integrity and fix their mistakes instead of letting their loyal customers take the $$$ fall. This isn't the only time I've heard about these issues with Palm Beach, so be warned ahead of time that honestly and integrity are lacking with their business. Save your hard earned dollars for a more reputable salon.
UPDATE: After the horrible incident I had, I received a phone call from the manager at Always Tan. She explained to me some of the issues that caused Donna to react the way she did at my previous visit. While this was unacceptable, I did appreciate the fact that I received a phone call and an apology. Hopefully all will be well in the future. I have been a member of Always Tan for quite some time now. Until recently it has been amazing. Friendly staff, clean beds. Then I happened to meet Donna the owner. She was rude and disrespectful to me in front of my child. She explained the safety issue I had apparently caused (not even knowing) and I told her it wouldn't happen again, I didn't realize it and I was sorry and she berates me for another 10 minutes; standing between me and the door so I could not leave! Then several days later I went in to cancel my membership (not in a contract) and was told that since it was almost time to charge me again, I'd be charged until March. I just paid January's on the 17th. Why am I paying another month? Will be going back in to correct that. If not, going straight to the bank to dispute. Rip off and terrible owner.
This place has the most terrible customer service. I walk in, and most of the time they don't even greet me. And when I'm leaving, they don't acknowledge me what so ever.
This is the nicest tanning salon in Lubbock. The rooms are very comfortable and decorative and cool. Staff is friendly and personable. Nice color scheme also. Enjoyed visit.
