My appointment with Dr. Schup for my annual eye exam went very well. Dr. Schup allowed me plenty of time to respond during the exam and repeated a few choices that I had trouble with. After the exam he briefly reviewed the results and asked if I had any questions. Then his assistant helped me wi…

Last year the giel helping me kept falling asleep while placing my contacts order. She joked that she had stayed up all night with her boyfriend. Order was completely wrong. I should've complained but didn't. I just ordered from an online dealer and got new contacts. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt so i went again this year. I bought a year's supply of contacts. It was charged to my insurance. When i went to pick up my years supply they have me a bag with 4 trial pairs in it and walked away. Hold on... This can't be right. What's going on? The girls were super rude and kept saying they don't know. Finally someone came over and said she would fix it. It still hasn't been fixed. Its May. I keep getting the run around. Don't go here. Waste of time and money.
Laser Eye Center of Lubbock is very professional and they are always willing to help you when you need it.
Please read complete review!I paid $ 180.00 each for two pairs of glasses [ frames only ]. we spent over $1100.00 for me and my wife. Last week I was cleaning the lenses and the frame came apart in my hand,I was able to fit it back together and reassemble them time after time [we were in south Texas] while on my trip.I have had these glasses for 6 months, I returned to the store [STANTON ]to have these repaired as I was told that I had a 1 year warranty. The young lady helping me stated that I would have to pay around $40.00for this repair.I think that this is outrageous, i guess i was just hoping for CUSTOMER SERVICE----------I was wrong.I have been telling my coworkers and friends about this incident.I do know that STANTON has lost my 4 family members business.I went to STANTON because they were new to town -------MISTAKE.I did walk out and politely stated that I would spread the word on their CUSTOMER "NO" SERVICE!Maybe they are use to LARGE CITY FOLKS and not little Lubbock folks.VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!!
The staff at Laser Eye Center of Lubbock are truly incredibly friendly and they really put you at ease.
My procedure that Laser Eye Center of Lubbock performed was not bad at all, I would definitely do it again.
Appointment was scheduled for 4:30. I arrived early and sat in the waiting room. Told them I only wanted contacts, and wasn't interested in glasses. That didn't stop them from trying non stop to upsell me on glasses, felt like I was at a car dealership. You need to do a "pre-exam" before your actual eye exam. Seemed like the order of pre-exams was completely random. Several people who arrived far after me got their exam first, whoever was most upset was always "next" on the list. An hour and a half after my "appointment" I left without even getting the pre-exam. I should have listened to the reviews on this place, definitely will not be going back ever again.
Go to Yelp and see what they have hid from everyonehttp://www.yelp.com/not_recommended_reviews/UUU7n8OMR8EkNA9kCrGuEAThe company is run on commission. While that can be good, in this case it is bad. The gentleman I got was clearly money oriented. Kept trying to upsell me. Felt like I was in a car lot. When he realized I wasn't interested in "buying now" he quickly left me and refused to reply to any questions.
I decided to go to Stanton Optical as a new patient, despite the low number of 2.1 stars that other people combined have rated the establishment on Google. Kind of like a “don’t judge a book by its cover” type of deal. As I walked in I was immediately greeted, which is good customer service, but after that, the experience took a spiral downwards. I wrote my name on the waiting list clipboard, and waited to be called. After being called, I went into a tiny room to get my “pretest” done, standard procedure I am sure. After about 5 minutes of small talk with the person helping me, she told me that my file had been locked, and the whole computer system would have to be restarted. Then she stated that we could go ahead and do the tests, and she was just going to write it down…. On a tissue. I guess some businesses have never heard of notepads or post it notes. After the tests were completed and all of my information was written on a handy and dandy tissue, I then went into the actual, eye exam room. Standard eye exam, just the normal reading letters and telling the doctor that slide one was better than slide 2 and so on and so forth. I left the room and paid for my contact exam, which is apparently not the same thing as an eye exam. An “eye” exam is advertised as free at Stanton Optical. Was not too freaked about it, I paid no big deal. Then I went into the huge room where I spent about 15-20 finding 2 pairs of glasses that I liked. Stanton Optical has advertised, “2 pair for $69 + free eye exam.” *During this 15-20 minutes of trying to find a pair, I was not once asked if I needed any assistance* I picked my 2 pairs of glasses, and went to the counter and told them I was ready. After previously stating that I was under the impression that these pairs of eye glasses were going to be totaled up to $69, you can imagine the shock I was in when the total came out to about $392. I was then informed that the deal was only good on the glasses that are located on their “value wall.” I told the sales manager that I was not able to afford such a high price. All she did was try to drop the price to $200 for one pair of glasses and a 3 month supply of contacts. Which was nice, I’ll admit, but why couldn’t she have shown me this so called “value wall.” The value wall has no sign of being a “value wall.” My experience here was not a good one, and I would honestly not recommend anyone to going here. This establishment leads to you to believe that they have good deals that no other business can offer, while trying to get you to pay a high dollar amount for plastic frames. Just saying, it would have been nice to have been shown the value wall. But I wasn’t. Why would I spend any extra money on a place that did not even offer to help me find my perfect pair of glasses? Thanks, but no thanks Stanton Optical.
TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE NO GOOD PLACE!!!!! Have had glasses since September 2015, could not wear because #1. I did not have no line bifocals put in them, (I admit this was my fault as I knew I needed them but after paying 400 plus for mine and my husbands glasses, I did not have the addition money needed for that) and #2. the prescription was not right! I get another exam last week, get 1 pair back 2 days later and I not one thing is right!!! That pair gets sent back AGAIN and I go this morning to pickup and EVERYTHING IS STILL WRONG!!! They claim that customer service is their priority. IT IS NOT!!! I am very, very, very upset and unhappy. So mad at myself for even stepping foot in this place. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!
